"The staff made the trip. The hotel is in the old geisha neighborhood but within walkable distance of the other attractions : castle, gardens, samurai houses and fish market. Nothing was too much trouble for Mitsu and he helped with restaurants and directions. Kanazawa was great."

"Beautiful traditional accommodation in historical district of Kanazawa. Very comfortable accommodation. Weather in Kanazawa was inclement and perhaps we should have been warned to bring umbrellas offered by the accommodation. Minor detail but otherwise the staff were super helpful and friendly. Such a beautiful accomodation, loved the stay and would return again. The streets are narrow so the taxis/ cars can only drop you at the closest side street, not at the front door. "My stay at Stella was amazing. The host, Shuji, was kind enough to make himself available for when I arrived, to make sure the check in process was smooth. The room was spacious and clean. "This hotel was dirty!! We were expecting old as we wanted to keep costs down and rayes were low. I have stayed in many APA hotels across Japan and they are fine. But this one was filthy. We had booked 4 nights but after one night cancelled and changed to another hotel. Beds were actually decent in condition (APA Kyoto had beds made out of cardboard) but mold and dust, dirty everywhere in room. Can’t recommend it here. Plenty of nice hotels in Kanazawa."

"This place is a jewel. Gorgeous rooms, terrific bathing area, and staff that is exceptional. It’s located a bit away from the action, but their shuttle service to the station works very well. I felt we got great value. "

"I had stayed at a Daiwa Roynet before and didn't know what to expect. But, the hotel was really quite nice. The room was comfortable, though it lacked cupboard space, so you live out of your suitcase -- which I don't like. However, everything else was very good. The public bath was very lovely; the breakfast quite nice; housekeeping was excellent. All-in-all, great value for the money and convenient to the train station. Without hesitation, I would stay again. "
