No need for a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get up our mountain, our roads make it simple. Easy access and paved roads are important when driving through the mountains, and we have that here! The cabin is the only home at the end of the road, affording you privacy and unobstructed views of the sunset. A full wraparound deck with custom log Adirondack chairs encourage you to "sit and stay a while". The front door opens to the southwestern view of the mountains. When you walk into the cabin, a two story vaulted ceiling greets you with a gas fireplace and cozy furnishings. The open floor plan invites you to relax and take in the breathtaking scenery with floor-to-ceiling windows. All the furniture, mattresses, TV's and linens are kept in excellent shape, including the hot tub! The kitchen has all the equipment for cooking. A large, full bathroom is situated right off the kitchen next to the Queen bedroom and a spacious walk in closet. There is high-speed dual bandwidth WiFi throughout the home.

The loft area and the master bedroom are upstairs. The loft provides a massive sectional couch and over-sized sitting chair. Enjoy watching 40+ cable channels on the large HD TV with Chromecast and a Blue ray DVD player. Or head through the sliding glass door onto the covered second-story deck- it makes you feel like you're in a tree house. The master bedroom boasts a King size memory foam mattress, with a large custom window that looks into the loft area and through to the mountains beyond. The room has another HD TV with cable and Chromecast for easy streaming of your favorites shows and music. The master bathroom offers a large spa tub with jets, a separate stand up shower, dual sinks, and a large walk in closet.

Downstairs in the newly finished third bedroom are two XL twin beds and a full bathroom. The room includes an HD TV with cable and Chromecast.

While the comfort and beauty of the home will make you want to stay inside, the outdoors will beckon you with vast mountain views off of the entire wrap-around deck. Enjoy cooking on the charcoal grill, or take a dip in the BRAND NEW (April 2024) 4 person hot tub.

The cabin is situated between Hendersonville and Brevard, perfectly located for outdoor adventures in the surrounding areas. Head up to DuPont Forest, a 25 minute drive away, for a hike at the Triple Falls trail to see some beautiful waterfalls. Pisgah National Forest is nearby, and downtown Asheville is a 45 minute drive. Lake Lure and Chimney Rock are a 50 minute drive.

There's a reason that the Asheville area is regularly rated one of the top travel destinations in the country. It offers everything from a quality food scene to breathtaking scenery and the down-home feel of country life. Experience the Biltmore Estate and Winery, or get the flavor of downtown Asheville's food and bar scene. Hendersonville and Asheville are the perfect place to vacation with mountain trails and waterfall hikes, local flavor and countless memory-making opportunities.

Great area and location. The property is far enough from other houses to feel private but it is located close enough to town for basic essentials.

Holiday Get Away
We did a quick getaway to the mountains to kick off our holiday season. We loved our accommodations. Relaxing and cozy for the two of us and our dog. We found the kitchen to be well stocked with everything we needed to fix quick meals. The house was very clean, and the views - fantastic! We hope to be able to visit again.

Perfect lodging for our winter break!
We brought our pre teen kids and met friends with a toddler and all stayed comfortably in the cabin. The kitchen was incredibly well appointed and the common areas were perfect for gathering and reconnecting. We were close to snow tubing, hiking, and ghost tours and also had peace and quiet with a beautiful surrounding!

Second Stay
This was our second stay at the cabin and it was just as lovely as the first. The cabin is comfortable and cozy (plus stocked with almost everything you would need). The views of the mountains while walking our dogs in the neighborhood were incredible. The host Kelly is great at communicating and responding to questions. Thank you again for a great vacation!

A perfect winter getaway!
This picturesque home is the perfect place for a winter getaway. The home is nestled at the end of a cul-de-sac which gives added privacy and an undisturbed view of the mountains. The sunsets are beyond beautiful. The pictures of this home don’t do it justice because it’s even cuter in person. Everyone had such a great time and my dog enjoyed frolicking through the forest. We saw wild deer, bunnies, squirrels and so many birds. I’m seriously considering rebooking for Christmas ❤️

Beautifully Wonderful Spot for 16th Anniversary
My hubby and I wanted to celebrate our Leap Day Anniversary uniquely and this gem was close enough to all the cute little towns we wanted to visit and Asheville that we grabbed the chance to book it. It's perfect. The loft upstairs is where we spent most of our time while we were in the cabin - the views are beautiful. The weather wasn't great while we were there but it didn't stop us from driving around and this cabin was perfectly located and easy to get to and from and the driveway wasn't too steep as some we saw were somewhat frightening. We loved using the kitchen and cooking a couple of dinners and the hot tub on the last night (even though it was sprinkling) was fabulous. The BBQ works great too - was kinda windy but we got it lit! You'll love it too!

Nice house, Well stocked
Despite a few shortcomings that prevent it from being a 5-star property, the house overall is decent and the hosts have made it easy to settle in by labeling everything. The location is about a 20-minute drive from town, but it's not too inconvenient. While most parts of the house have been updated well, the exterior could benefit from a bit of tidying up.

Liked: Cleanliness
Awesome Trip!
We had so much fun on this trip! There was a slight bumpy start, the house had not been cleaned for our arrival. But, Kelly had someone come out right away and clean everything. She refunded the cleaning fee and let us stay a little bit later on checkout day. Overall it was an awesome trip! Would go back to that same place again, or check out her other rental!

Beautiful home - peace and quiet with great views!
My husband and I loved our stay in this beautifully furnished home which was well appointed and clean. Our dog Marshall settled right in and we felt at home immediately. Enjoyed spending time outdoors on the multiple decks or in the hot tub. Great views all around and tons of natural light. Lots of things to do in the area and Dupont Forest is a must! Would be great to have grass/lawn area for the dog but will definitely be back. Kelly was easily reachable and checked in from time to time to ensure all was good. Hope to see you soon! The Hames'

Very lovely property. Easy to access. Pretty close to many things including Asheville
We really enjoyed this home and our stay. Spent 3 nights with some family and friends. Home was very clean and well equipped with just about anything you can think of. This did not feel like a “vacation” home meaning it’s well taken care of. Can’t say enough about the property owner communication. Hounded her with questions all week leading up to our stay and she always got back to me very fast usually within minutes. Pretty close to everything you’d need. Asheville is about 45 mins which isn’t bad in my opinion. Overall we enjoyed our stay here, did not have time at checkout to sign the book so please take this review as our thank you for using your home. Lot of fun and memories made. Would definitely recommend this home.

Not a luxury cabin
It wasn't bad but certainly not luxury, I was expecting more for the price. Most cabins we have stayed in, although they were in different areas (N. Georgia mountains) were much better appointed (included game rooms of some kind), were bigger and less money. I assumed with the price being higher and no game room, and it being sold as luxury it would be really special, it is average at best. All of the sliding glass doors had issues locking or with the handles falling off while using them, they noted this in the check in instructions, but there was nothing about this in the listing, so you don't know about any of this until it is too late to get a refund. There was dog poop left on one of the cow skins we found when we checked in, somehow the cleaner missed it, they also told us the cleaner didn't have time to check the hot tub chemicals so told us we should check it before we use it. Not exactly luxury, I'd say more like a 3 or 3.5 star hotel at best.

Absolutely fabulous
My wife and I stayed here March 7-10, 2017 to go hiking and enjoy the area. We've stayed at many rental properties over the years, and the Peregrine House is perhaps the best of them all. The house was spotless, tastefully decorated without being tacky, well appointed, well maintained, and, well luxurious. We're very picky about our coffee (seriously, life is too short for mediocre coffee) so we've learned to travel with our own preferred Cuisinart machine. We knew we had found our place when upon arrival, there was the same coffee maker on the counter. Kelly was a delight to work with, and what minor questions we had were quickly resolved. The views were great (the trees had not leafed out yet) and yet the house is very private. The beds and bedding are also top-notch, and we slept very comfortably While visiting we ate at Never Blue in Hendersonville (try the Red Sangria!) and Magpie Meat and Three in Brevard. Both were excellent, with Never Blue being a little more upscale. We went hiking on the Art Loeb Trail at Blank Balsam Knob - incredible 360 degree views from the balds - and at DuPont State Forest to see the many waterfalls there. We also visited the Sierra Nevada and New Belgium breweries in Asheville. I try and give balanced reviews and include anything other renters would want to know. There really were no negatives here, other than perhaps that the many windows allowed the house to heat up quite a bit during the day. We were gone during the day and returned both days to find the house well over 80. We had to open the doors and windows to cool the house down enough to sleep well. You'll also want to notice that there's a $200 cleaning fee, which is way, way beyond the typical $75 or so. In short, the Peregrine House is a fabulous property and I would not hesitate to stay there again.
