If you want peace, space and luminosity near the city center, this is your choice. The apartment is located in a private property with very large park like courtyard. Here you have peace and quiet and yet the city center is only a couple of minutes away - easily reached weather on foot or by tram.

The unit consists of living room with fully equipped open concept kitchen, bedroom and bathroom with easy-to-use-sauna bath. A glazed balcony is a good addition. By opening the glass doors, the balcony can be connected to the open air patio. Large floor-to-ceiling windows make the apartment very luminous. All spaces are very spacious as there are no wasted squares.

Katajanokka is the most maritime district in Helsinki - it is surrounded by the sea. If you look at the map, You'll see that it is heart shaped island and it is easy to fall in love with it. Here you`ll find outdoor trails by the waterfront, parks, sights, restaurants and bars as well as ferries to the archipelago and far away countries.

A wonderful place to stay and explore Finland!
We had a wonderful time here in Helsinki, Finland. A lot of the incredible experiences we had were in no small part due to our stay and this flat. Public transportation is a walk away and from here you can get anywhere in Finland very easily. It is also very close to the Viking Line so we were able to walk to the port and visit Estonia on an overnight cruse. The flat is very secure, in a quiet, safe, and welcoming neighborhood. Inside is welcoming with a full kitchen, nice living room, and bedroom. Plus there is even a sauna in the flat! The host met us on our schedule to open the house and walk us through all the amenities, and to give us some good tips about what to do while we were there. Our experience was great and we highly recommend this host.

Comfortable apartment close to mid-town
Timo's apartment is in a very nice neighborhood. It was comfortable and well-equipped. The sauna was a nice amenity. There is a terrace on the apartment that opens to the large inside garden area of the surrounding apartment houses. It looks lovely to use but it was cold and snowy so couldn't check it out ourselves. Close-by is a small shopping mall with a good restaurant, pub, liquor store, grocery store, spa and more. The tram line is very close-by and the walk to the harbor, fish-market and the center of town is 15-20 minutes. Check-in was done by Timo's co-host personally. Timo was responsive to any questions we had. A good stay. Highly recommended.

Five Star Host And Accomodation
Timo is a superb Vrbo host. Notwithstanding a completely unplanned for arrival at his lovely apartment after midnight, Timo was unflappable. Throughout the day, he responded to my updates about my cancelled flight and the very late substitute flight cheerfully, and encouragingly. When I finally arrived, he greeted me warmly and showed me how all worked in the apartment. The apartment is up-to-date with a beautiful view of a park in the center of the property, which comprises of several beautifully designed modern buildings. The location is near the Viking Ferry terminal on the east side of Helsinki, in a lovely area to walk, which is also not far from the center of the city, and served by the 4T and 5 trolleys. The area is quiet, even during the day, and in the evening, the only sound is of the gulls circling the Baltic port. The interior of the apartment is beautifully decorated and accurate as shown in the photographs. The glassed-in porch is a lovely place to sit and watch the world go by. Finally, the easy-to-use sauna, was balm to this weary traveler. Were I to return to Helsinki, Timo's would be my first choice of accommodation, not least because Timo was such a lovely host.
