"Popped in for a quiet stay. Lots of walkers and bikers. Biker friendly place with nice hard surfaces. In the mountains, so lots of opportunities for winding roads. It was noisy but we couldn't even close the window because the room (and i think the hotel in general) doesn't have A/C. For 4 star they advertised it's not acceptable However i assume it's common for the small town in Europe. The room had a standind fan. The hotel is old and outdated - need a serious refurbish. "

"Lovely quiet, rural area. Fabulous forestry, rocky outcrops, scenery so green. Great for walking, cycling, exploring this part of northern Bavaria. Even though rural roads, superb, easy from A to B. Staff lovely in the hotel. Spoke good English for restricted German speakers. Comfort Room spacious and clean. Little terrace with outside seating. Great views. No sound issues from rooms next door or above (we were ground floor). Great shower! But no tea/coffee facilities in room. The usual wonderful buffet breakfast. Adequate evening meal but then chose to eat out in the evening for the other two nights; wanted to experience more. Didn’t use Spa or swimming pool; too much to do and see elsewhere in the vicinity to include in our three night stay. "
