"The hosts are great and goos people. The breakfast is good. It is very close to the slopes for skiing. The walls are very thin and neighbors can be very loud. The rooms are very small and the space could be utilized a lot better, it can get very cramped especially with luggage. There is a good child friendly common space, and a place to store ski equipment. "

"Lovely attentive staff, delightful traditional Japanese rooms. Great views and Onsen, close to the bus for Alpine route, though not much else nearby in terms of shops or eating. We would happily return. Only improvement point suggested is that we could not contact the hotel in advance by email, web form or expedia to find out if dinner was available - we got no reply. "The hotel was lovely and the area was gorgeous. The breakfast buffet was good, however the dinner menu was limited...maybe because it was over the New Years holiday. Not close enough to Omachi City to be walkable to other restaurants. We will definitely stay again in the spring, as it is also on a golf course. "

"Very close to the side lift which made it very convenient. Still close enough to the main lift for purchasing ski passes and where the rentals are. Facilities are old but not bad. Onsen was clean but the outdoor area is a bit small (if there are more than 3 people). Parking is tight but available if you can get your car up the small hill and the counter can help you reserve a taxi which is super helpful. The receptionists all had good English too. "

"Stayed here for 4 nights and it was the perfect spot for skiing. Just opposite the beginner slope chair lift and only a short walk from the ski school. The staff were excellent and very welcoming, especially the man at reception. We really appreciated the buffet dinner after long days of skiing. Would definitely recommend booking a stay here. Rooms are very cosy and beds are comfy."

Does what is says on the tin, no frills

"This is a very basic hotel, catering mostly to young Australian tourists. It is extremely conveniently located next to the Happo One gondola and several popular bars / restaurants. The rooms are clean and generally the staff were very helpful, but the physical state of the building and the smell of diesel fuel is a little off putting. The breakfast is very basic but in the hotel’s defence, everything was pretty much exactly as described and the price reflects the value you get here. "
