"Great location to tour Sutherland, we went as far south as Ullapool and North to Bettyhill. Visited too many places to mention but my favourite was Balnakeil Bay, huge beach great for your dogs and easy to access. Lots of amazing scenery, the picnic area by Kinlochbervie beach had two resident stags in the green fenced field. Mairi and Willie great friendly hosts, be sure to order your Lobster, Prawns and Crabs, they were amazing and such good value. Will definitely return."

Long gone. Welcome basket? Dont hold your breath. Plenty of supplies befitting a luxury place? Not if you count 1 1/2 rolls of toilet paper, a half roll of paper towels, no replacement garbage bags and no laundry detergent for a week's stay as ample. "Lovely place with fantastic views and a sunset to die for. 2 mins walk to beach, very peaceful. The whole place was very high end and well cared for. Sean greeted us at the property, handed us slippers and showed us round. Even brought us 2 chairs for the patio when we asked. We felt we were in a 5* hotel and a little bit nervous of living up to the exacting standards...every surface was covered, even the sofa. Notices everywhere! Despite that we loved every minute. Only things missing..a dish...

"An excellent little lodge for 2 down a short walk from the local village. The place was superbly equipped with everything needed for our stay. Only slight problem - the sofas and chairs were a little too low to the ground! Otherwise it was lovely and we really enjoyed our stay."

"We were there for a 2 night stay at the end of August. The hotel is very well taken care of & it is in a quiet lovely location. It’s beautiful inside too.
