Our one night tour with legacy cruises was lovely. We were picked up from our hotel in Hanoi right when we had arranged. It was a 4 hour bus ride to the start of the cruise.
On the boat we were fed 4 meals, all four served family style with other guests on board. The good was good but not great, a mix of western and Asian dishes with more food offered than we could eat. Food was covered in the price of the cruise but drinks were extra, $3 or $4 for beer or around $7 for wine or mixed drinks.
The boat traveled through the beautiful bay, using a smaller boat we pulled behind us to shuttle us to our various activities. We got to do a short hike to see a lovely aerial view of the bay, swim on a sand beach with MANY other visitors, visit a large cave, and kayak near some homes on the water. All activities were in areas with many other tourists from other cruises. The areas also often featured gift shops, for better or worse. You could buy beer, water, a snack, or a souvenir; but it did take away from the natural beauty of the area.
Our guide was a delight, he spoke good English, gave us some extra insight on the areas we visited, told jokes, and was with us from when we were picked up in Hanoi to when we were dropped back off in Hanoi the following day.
Overall we were very happy with our tour. The boat was nice but not the most luxurious boat we saw on the water. For the price it seemed like a solid choice to view an incredible part of the world.
