"The staff was very nice, from maintenance ti the desk. They only gave us 1 towel and the rest were out for cleaning our first morning, so my sister and I had to share. The room was alright, but the neighboring area was awful. Not only did it feel safe, and the neighboring bar was incredibly loud, but the construction was terrible. Nothing like a jackhammer at 6 AM. I'd stay in the west side of Lyon Gare Dieu next time."

"The hotel is old . The staff is nice and Lena is a lovely receptionist . I stayed there 6 days my room was never clean ... Not the fault of the staff just the organisation and the hotel needs to be reorganised. For 200 Euros a night during worldSkills time I was expecting Free breakfast , sadly at this price The breakfast was not included .Again not the fault of the staff . "This hotel was in a great location and we particularly liked how helpful the front desk staff were. Always available to answer a question, or offer a dining recommendation. The lobby/bar was a great area to sit after a day of sightseeing and we took advantage of the breakfast 2 of our 3 mornings. Lots of choices. We would definitely stay here again. "

Hôtel Mercure Lyon Centre - Gare Part Dieu

Comfortable and convenient

"We stayed at this hotel because it was nicely situated near the train station and we were very pleased with the whole experience. The hotel was very comfortable and wheelchair accessible which was a huge benefit. Overall the city is better for wheelchair mobility than Paris barring the odd construction works here and there. "

"Excellent hotel, with a stunning ground floor entrance/reception. Rooms and hallway a little tired, but it didn’t detract from the stay. If you get a family bedroom make sure you got a proper shower - ours was one over a bath without a shower curtain so it wasn’t the easiest to shower in without water going everywhere. Would definitely stay again if we found ourselves in Lyon."
