"This was our second visit to this hotel. Previously we came in a summer ,but this visit was on the last day of Bordeaux Xmas market. The hotel is situated on the tram line which you can buy tickets at the machine or on the app. To get into centre takes about ten mins. Across from hotel is the river which you can walk into Bordeaux with lots of restaurants and shops. A lot shut in the winter, but definitely worth a nice walk. Friendly reception staff and very well maintained room with everything required except for dishwashing liquid and tea towels. Very clean. A number of small shops for supplies nearby. " I arrived by car in the evening. The hotel is poorly signed and I had problems locating it. Otherwise nice location with pleasant staff and great rooms. For the number of rooms I find 2 elevators too little - too much waiting time. "

I love this place

"The Normandie hits all the right notes. It overlooks Bordeaux's streetcar hub and the Girond Estuary, is adjacent to the jardin public and the head of Rue Sainte Catherine, and is equidistant to the funky dining neighborhoods of The Chartrons and Saint-Pierre. The Bar a Vins, sponsored by the Bordeaux wind industry, is next door. Can't be beat."

"The hotel and the staff were amazing. The area was very walkable with a lot of dining options. The river is pretty spectacular too. You are in walking distance to the train, buses and the light rail system so it is easy to travel anywhere. "
