Many issues
No check-in instructions were provided beforehand, the cottage is located inside a marina (parking was the same as marina parking), which was not obvious by the address. We had to drive up to the marina gate and call the number on the gate fob.
Many aspects of the listing were not accurate.
There was no hot tub as advertised, the kitchen was not fully usable as cups, plates, cutlery and utensils were not provided. There was a patio but no outdoor seating. The living room had no furniture other than a pull out couch. The only seating is the dining table and wooded chairs. The TV/remote didn’t work. The water was not potable, luckily we brought bottled water for drinking but this was not told to us before. The shower did not work (sputtering and the water was from the lake so it didn’t look clean).
The bedrooms were very clean but the main floor and bathroom were not very clean. The property manager did provide plastic cups and paper plates/cutlery when we asked, and was very kind. But it’s very unprofessional to not let us know before hand. We would not have booked this cottage if we had known this, since we were looking for a cozy cottage weekend rather than a camping experience.
