"A group of 9 of us from the UK and France went to Rio to celebrate a 6oth Birthday. We chose Alex’s house because of the central location, views and pool. We were not disappointed. The house is in a trendy area filled with bars and restaurants and is a Grand Old Lady perched near the top of the hill. "I rate this property as average because in all honesty, it's not shown as it really looks in real life, you'll be staying at the oldest building in the area, even though you're in the best area for beaches and restaurants, consider that you'll get what you're paying for. We had a misunderstanding with the check in so i recommend having your schedule well planned out. "Great hotel, room and bed were very comfortable. Breakfast was fine. Reception were always very helpful. The area is in a "party" area of the inner city, lots of bars and restaurants, and character, though can be a little loud on weekends. The hotel is within easy walking distance (10-15 mins) of the cathedral and city centre, which was wonderful."

Excellent service

"I was able to check-in early for a 50% rate after arriving at the hotel at 6.30am. The service was excellent, even letting me borrow an adaptor to charge my phone etc.. Hotel room was very nice, if a little small and with no view. Pool bar was excellent, giving a great view of Copacabana beach."
