"Great place within walking distance of pretty much anything you could want from a a stay in Bilbao. 20mins of flat walking to the Guggenheim and old town, 8mins to the bus station and 0 minutes to the supermarket (but not on Sunday - they’re all closed). Manu was exceptionally helpful and we followed his recommendations for places to go and to eat. Superb stay, thoroughly recommended. "

"We spent a lovely four nights here. The condo was on an upper floor, with plenty of parking at the side of the building. We used supermarkets in Durango (5-10 min drive away) for groceries. It was easy to drive into Durango and take the train to Bilbao for the day too. The kitchen had the basic things you might need (small oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, coffee machine, washer, dishwasher, but no kettle?) and the shower was pleasingly powerful. "Apartment is well-situated within town and sits on the building's top floor, which allows for good sunset views of the surrounding hills. The apartment is clean, neat, and has a good-sized balcony with a table for eating. Gernika is equipped with a train station, many restaurants, grocery stores, shops, a couple museums, and is even a short drive to beaches and the seaside town of Lekeitio, making it the perfect alternative to staying in Bilbao.
