Colbost

If you're spending some time in Colbost, Skye Silver Gift Shop and Duirinish are top sights worth seeing.

Ruin in Holmisdale This is one of many similar ruins in the area. At one time the Glendale district was home to more than 3,000 people. When the landlords decided they would prefer to have the land for grazing sheep, the crofters were removed from their homes - often by force - and the cottages left to fall derelict.
