"The hotel is very conveniently located within many eateries and convenience store. As we rented a car, driving around to the theme park and 5 lakes around Mt fuji is also very easy and not far. Last but not lease Mt Fuji view is fantastic!"

"Our first ryokan experience and it was amazing. This place is a little remote and it was snowing and raining when we arrived so we decided to stay in and enjoy the relaxing 2 days here. The Japanese breakfast is awesome. If you want to try their dinner, make sure to email and order at least 2 days in advanced, it costs 8800 yen per person but it totally worth every penny. This is all private onsen meaning that you get the whole area for your group. Need to make reservations for onsen as well and we can have 2 onsen per day, each time lasts 50 minutes. The hot springs water is hot so we enjoy the outdoor onsen a lot more even it was snowing. Wish we live nearby so we can enjoy this more often. The staff are super nice and helpful."

"The hotel was great and also had an onsite onsen which was our first, however it was clean and the water was great. There are multiple pools that provide a small range in temperature, including one outside. Bedrooms were clean and those on the Mount Fuji side did not disappoint. "

"Checkin was efficient & well explained. Provided with a code to access room. No key. Pleasantly surprised on entering the room with great view of Mt Fuji from the window. Room very comfortable with 2 beds, a separate sitting area Japanese style, kettle with amenities available from reception. Staff were very good & very attentive to requirements. Access to a rooftop area to admire Mt Fuji. We were lucky with clear days. Breakfast was included with my room - either Japanese cuisine , which was very tasty or international - egg & ham sandwich. Coffee, tea , juices are available. Ate at the restaurant which had a limited menu of 2 items. The ramen was very tasty. Hotel is approx half hour walk from kawaguchiko station. Also a short walk to the lake. Restaurants in the locality requiring a walk from the hotel. Bicycles are also available for hire to explore the area. I enjoyed my stay at Haostay & thank the staff for welcoming nature. Would recommend Haostay. "
