Our group had decided the rent cars which made getting around the area that much easier as well as the location of the villa having easy and accessible parking. "Units were spotless and comfortable and communication with staff for any queries we had were handled quickly and proficiently. Only negative is that the railway line ran right behind the property. Fortunately it was a local train and was not too frequent or bothersome but if you’re after a quiet spot, you may be affected by the noise. "

Dinner had a wide variety of high quality and delicious selections. We were able to arrange to have our luggage sent to our next location for a very good price. There is also a free shuttle to the train station which is extremely convenient. Would highly recommend! "

"The property is in such an excellent condition. Conveniently located as well, as it is a short walk to Lawson, and also to Lake Kawaguchiko. There are some restaurants around and within walking distance too. Each room comes with it's own onsen, and so convenient. The only downside is the lack of view from the rooms. But the service is impeccable. "

"I think HAOSTAY is very value for money as the rooms are big (as of Japan standards) and it offers a great view of Fuji from the room window and rooftop. The Japanese or sandwich breakfast options were great. It is a 15 min walk from the train station which is manageable. For transport to the train station, they have fixed vehicle trips at 9am, 9.30am and 10am. It is recommended to book them the night beforehand as there are only spaces for approx 7-9pax. All in all, I would definitely come back again if I were to go to Kawaguchiko."

"This hotel is a terrific bargain if what you're looking for is a well-priced, great location, attentive staff, and on-premises onsen. If you're sensitive to the smell of decades of tobacco use, this hotel is not for you. If you're tolerant of this issue and want the opportunity to enjoy windows that open, and old-school amenities and service, you will enjoy this hotel as much as I do. "
