Pennan is a gorgeous little seaside village made famous from the eighties film - Local Hero where a business man falls for the charm and the pace of life the village has to offer. This is still true today, you will feel yourself relax as you wind down the steep road towards the village with breath-taking views of the sea in front of you. The house has been restored with deep consideration to its original features and new additions including artisan wood work and luxury bathroom. The village has a fantastic restaurant and pub and there are brilliant walks nearby offering a restorative getaway for guests. A starter set of logs and kindling is provided, guests to provide their own logs and kindling thereafter.
Inside the house:
* On the ground floor there is an open plan kitchen and sitting room with a traditional wood burning stove. There are hand crafted touches throughout including the whiskey barrel window seat and hand made dining table. There is a well equipped kitchen thoughtfully designed to fit around the 19th century home.
*Upstairs on the first floor is the bedroom with a king-size bed, beautiful window seat and a wood burning stove. The en suite bathroom includes a shower and deep soaking tub.
*On the top floor there is a relaxing sitting room with bespoke furniture, a telescope and stunning sea views, the perfect place to relax with a book while listening to the waves...
The property is fantastic retreat offering guests a wonderful holiday with the idyllic setting and beautiful touches throughout. Bed linen, towels, picnic set, cleaning products and kitchen essentials are provided.
