"This property is definitely past it’s prime, the pictures posted in the listing must be from better times. While the owner was friendly the animal smell in the entry hall was very unpleasant. The room was crammed but clean, one of the beds had dog hairs on it. Overall not what we expected to find looking at the listing, but it worked for one night."

"Lovely hotel, rooms were well appointed. 4*. I had a small double room with ensuite. Shower. Missed a fridge being in the room though. Parking is limited at the hotel but plenty of free parking to the side on road. Avoid parking under trees as lots of seagulls around...! Friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Lovely breakfast. Full traditional English and buffet continental. Hotel has a Victorian feel about it. Lifts were all working. West end of Folkestone. By beach and easy...
