Visit the Santa Cruz mountains and get away to the small town of Felton, California! This unique, two bedroom vacation home has everything you'll need to relax and take in the gorgeous, postcard-perfect, treetop views!

Located between San Jose and Santa Cruz, it's just 12 miles to the beaches and famous boardwalk, with attractions like Loch Lomond Reservoir and Quail Hollow Ranch right near this Tree Top View Cabin. Leave all the hubbub behind and unwind at this charming retreat in the woods.

Three flights of stairs assure a gorgeous view, but they also might be difficult for those with any mobility issues. But once you reach the welcoming front porch, you'll have a perfect outdoor spot for reading a book or sipping morning coffee.

This Felton cabin boasts tall ceilings, a woodstove, comfortable furniture, and even WiFi so you can stay in touch. Entertainment amenities include cable TV and a DVD player so you'll be able to gather everyone around for an after-dinner movie.

You'll have a full kitchen for delicious vacation. At night there are two bedrooms with a queen and a full bed, and one full bathroom. Up to four guests will be able to stay comfortably here. And if you want to bring your dogs, please be advised that dogs need to stay off of the couch and bedding. Because of the size of this unit, bigger dogs may be more comfortable on the deck.

This Central California vacation home in the trees will delight your whole group and provide a memorable home base near activities in Santa Cruz and beyond!

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

a forest adventure
it was easy to feel at home in this treetop sanctuary. We loved the easy access to Loch Loman recreation area. The deck was well appointed and provided easy outside dining. The only real downsides were the driveway and the steps. None of these were insurmountable problems. I plan on returning.

A Great Retreat
We had a wonderful time - relaxing on the deck, hiking is Felton's redwood parks and the best trout at the nearby Trout Farm Inn restaurant.

Quiet and away
24 minute drive to the boardwalk through a wandering redwood lined country road. Clean, tidy, and great views of the trees down below.

Nice Stay
Up in the trees, a little windy & tight road to there. Close to beautiful lake. Great place to enjoy the beach & the forest!

Fantastic and quiet.
Fully equipped in kitchen and bathroom. Best place we have stay in the area. We have been coming up to many Air BNB's for the past 30 years. Quiet and Peaceful. The whindy roads were worth the drive. Highly recommend. Lake Loch Lohmon a half mile away...walking distance. We had great fun!

Cozy Cabin
Amazing front porch with beautiful views. Feels far from everything, but actually quite east accsss to amenities. The house was lovely, and the rooms were cozy. The mattress protector made it sound like you were sleeping on a tarp but the beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well appointed, bathroom had nice plastic free hair care options and soap. Would have loved some good coffee and or tea on site, its not pratical to buy a box/bag for a couple of nights. Thank you for the perfect getaway.

Lovely deck and Redwoods view. OK interior
We loved that we could hang out with our dog on the deck and enjoy the Redwoods. The view and the neighborhood are pluses. What a beautiful drive from town! The interior was fine, but some of the furniture wasn't the most comfortable. I'd recommend bringing your own pillow. The shower and tub could use an update and the doors are hard to open. Wifi worked great, and the cabin was stocked with everything we needed. Overall we had en enjoyable, relaxing stay.

Nice space, but a bit remote
Awesome front deck to relax amongst the redwoods. The home was just the right size for our family of 3. Location was a bit remote for ease of access to our daily excursions.

Cozy place
The cottage was tidy and cozy. The deck was great to relax on. 20 steps up to the entry but nice view over the neighborhood. Kitchen is well stocked all utensils and pots, even a waffle maker. However, do stop at store prior to driving to the cottage - no coffee, tea, sugar, salt/pepper, etc.

Peaceful Mountain Getaway
We absolutely loved staying here and would stay again. A hidden peaceful gem in the San Lorenzo Valley. The house was clean and quiet and just what we needed to escape the hustle and bustle of every day. We were able to bring our dog and enjoyed walks around the neighborhood and in downtown Felton. The house is in the mountains and with recent storms definitely recommend driving with caution and bringing an AWD vehicle. So worth it though. Stunning views from the balcony, friendly neighbors and close enough to a lake you can walk there.

Needs TLC
Shower doors needs replaced or removed and a shower curtain would be great. One of the doors was about to fall off the other door you could barely move it. The beds are very worn out. We all woke up in pain every day. We wouldn’t stay here again.

Weekend away from roommates
My girlfriend and I decided that as we prepare to take some big exams, we ought to give ourselves a little getaway to some cozy, woodsy place and this property definitely fit the bill. Be forewarned that although the area is densely wooded, it is not a property that is remote from other structures/residences. Also the driveway and road up to the property is VERY steep, and some vehicles might not be cut out for it. Otherwise, the place was great for our needs.

Broken refrigerator
Place was cute, clean and very peaceful. However we planned on staying there and eating in to save on time and money. The refrigerator was broken including the freezer and no one returned our 2 calls to the support number in the email with directions or the number on the help sign in the cabin. Had to throw out alot of food.

Beautiful Cabin in the Trees
This cabin is situated amongst wonderful trees. The outdoor deck is spacious and absolutely beautiful. While we didn't mind the look of the furniture, it is kind of old, especially the beds and sofa. The kitchen has all the basic necessities, but no extras like aluminum foil, zip lock bags, coffee, cooking oil, — the little things you may forget to bring. The bathroom is nice and spacious. The biggest disappointment were the frequent power outages (on 3 days of the 4 days we stayed there). The neighbors have generators, this cabin does not. It seems to be proof to the fact that power outages must happen often here. There are no candles or flashlights in the cabin, but there is a landline so you can call the not so helpful manager. Your cell phone only works over WiFi up there, but, of course, that only works when the power is on. Overall we still had a very pleasant stay. We enjoyed relaxing on the gorgeous deck perched high above ground amongst the trees. The cabin offers a nice peaceful place to spend time with family and friends.

nice place with some problems
We enjoyed staying there, but we ran into a bunch of minor annoyance that could be easily fixed: 1) The Internet password emailed to us in advance and on the paperwork in the house is WRONG - if you enter it as written, with a capital H in the middle, it won't work. We had to call on the phone to be told the correct password - same as written but with a lower-case h. 2) The instructions on the AV equipment were confusing (specifically, they tell you push a button on the remote control that does not exist), and we never did find a way to do what we wanted: watch Netflix on line. 3) There's no drying rack for dishes you've washed. 4) The stopper for the bathtub is too small - it falls down into the drain, and it was a pain to get it out. 5) You should warn people not to turn directly into the carport after coming up the driveway - the geometry of the paving is such that you'll get a major scrape to the bottom of your car, as we did. Tell people to drive forward onto the gravel, then (if they want) back into the carport.

Great cabin in the redwoods; Needs maintenance and better housekeeping service
We were looking forward to our stay for a girl’s weekend. This was my second stay here. The location was perfect for our planned outings, the two bedrooms suited our needs, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we required. We enjoyed the deck area for relaxing in the early morning and evening. I didn’t give the cabin 5 stars for the following reasons. 1) housekeeping forgot to put sheets on our beds before making them. We had to call the rental service late that first evening to complain, but they took care of that issue the next day. The rental service promised someone would call the next day, but nobody called. I would have appreciated communication regarding their “plan” to rectify the situation so I wasn’t worried about it all day. 2) the TV was old and had a high-pitched noise which distracted from our movie time. 3) The corner cabinet in the kitchen was hanging on by one screw and we were afraid it would fall completely off. 4) the trash can downstairs at the bottom of the stairwell smelled terrible and when the wind started it brought some uncomfortable smells into the living room window while we were watching our movie, 5) there were no window coverings in my bedroom and at it was bright first thing in the morning, and 6) it was a warm weekend and the cabin had no air conditioning. There were several screens missing so it made it difficult to cool down the house when we returned from out outings. Overall I highly recommend this house as a way to enjoy the redwoods and Santa Cruz! My first visit was great (January 2017) and we didn’t have to deal with any of these issues.
