With over a half mile of riverfront on the Muskegon River and direct access to the Leota ORV Trail System, this property has it all. You also have access to 40 acres of private hunting land and are surrounded by state land. Just a short distance from Houghton Lake and Harrison, you can get away without being far away. This property also has high speed internet so you can work while away if that is what you are looking for. The perfect spot to iset up base camp for hunting, trail riding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, trail running, mountain bike riding, kayaking, fishing! Or, a great spot to enjoy a cozy, quiet time away. 4WD recommended but certainly not required.

Perfect Get Away!
This is the perfect place to stay to get away from it all and still have modern amenities. Home away from home with everything you will need. We enjoyed riding the trails close by during the day and streaming movies at night. It has an excellent table for scrapbooking!

Great Location
Our group really enjoyed our stay in the very secluded and peaceful cabin on the river. We were welcomed with a personalized greeting card and goods to make smores. Plenty of room for our group of 8 and nice mounted tv to watch golf after playing a round or two. Very easy and responsive communication with the owners prior to arriving made for a great experience.

Wonderful little cabin in a great location
We had a wonderful time here. There are so many trails around to explore. The cabin itself had everything we needed. The owner of the cabin even left us party favors for New Years Eve. I can't give this place enough stars!!

Side by Side Riding Trip
The cabin was awesome, very clean. The owners left us a nice note with smores to enjoy for the weekend. The property was beautiful and we loved the little cabin that sits on the river. Very secluded.

Great place!!! The cabin is very beautiful! You have everything you need . The property is very secluded, a short walk & your down by the river. The hosts were wonderful. We stayed for our 29th wedding anniversary the whole family filled out a card for us,so thoughtful! Perfect spot for trail riding also. We will be staying there again. Thank you so much.

Amazing middle of nowhere!
If you are looking for country, middle of nowhere - but close to town... this is it! Beautiful house. Very clean. Owners were very responsive before and during our stay. They left a sweet note and some s'mores for our stay. And the beds.... soooo comfortable. I even had to see what kind so i can find a mattress like it for my own house. All that to say...very comfortable, beautiful, and exceeded our expectations! Ps... bring bug spray. So glad we did.

Thanksgiving in the woods!
We took a family retreat from the city this year for Thanksgiving, and loved spending it at this remote cabin! And the host family was so sweet to not only leave a personalized note, but also provided us with Thanksgiving-themed table settings. Each morning we woke up to a big show of turkeys and the whole family LOVED this outdoor swing and trail. If only it wasn't so cold, we would have spent more time by the river. We hope to return for a summer visit so we can explore the outdoors even more.

October Stay
The cabin was as described in the listing. It was very quiet :) 40 acres! It was nice to walk around property with plenty of woods. The Muskegon River flows pretty close nearby, private access!! If you are looking for a place totally off any main roads, this is it. I recommend having an all wheel drive vehicle to get around the local dirt roads. Overall, the cabin was clean and has a kitchen with ample supply of dishes and utensils. The bathroom was big enough and had enough counter space. The internet WiFi was sufficient and I still received good cell connectivity (At+t). Condiments and bacon provided in the fridge was a nice touch. The host was very responsive to my questions.

Amazing get away
We loved our stay at this cabin! We were a little nervous about getting there because it’s so off grid, but the instructions were very clear and easy to follow. We loved kayaking on the river and exploring the trails on the property and cooking on the charcoal grill. We can’t wait to come back next year!

Perfect stay
We absolutely loved our stay at the cabin! The cabin itself is very spacious, clean, and comes with everything you need. There were personal touches that were really nice including a smores making kit and they even left us treats for our dogs. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The property is really secluded and our dogs loved exploring the trails. They also loved chilling on the back deck and by the fire pit. The observation deck has a great view! Also our one dog loved swimming in the river. The hosts are very responsive and super nice and accommodating. We cannot wait to visit again!
