"I cannot say a big enough thank you to Javier at Aparthotel Kora Green. Even though he had just finished a night shift he volunteered to help us get into the public car park (we had arrived in a terrible storm and parked in the wrong one). Unfortunately, getting into that car park was far from easy, yet Javier took the time and was so kind; we would really have been stuck without him. Thank you so much Javier!"

"Great are , close restaurants, walking to historical area. Nonparking that was a minus, had to walk 15 mins to closest parking which it was great walk, but prefer if they had parking."

"For anybody thinking that this will be a 'charming' rustic experience - please reconsider! We were unable to stay here - the place was musty and dark with poor cooking facilities and a layout that didnt work for us - the terrace was unusable due to mosquitoes and we couldnt open windows to air it out for same reason. We are used to camping and would prefer a tent to this accommodation. At 200 Euros a night it is hardly BUDGET - and fell well below our expectations. We didnt even last 15 minutes...

"This cottage is actually newly built, very clean, modern design and well-stocked. I found it to be a great location to visit many places in the Basque region ranging from coast to city to mountains. It was nice not to have to drive out and back in to a city every day. I would stay here again. "

"We spent a lovely four nights here. The condo was on an upper floor, with plenty of parking at the side of the building. We used supermarkets in Durango (5-10 min drive away) for groceries. It was easy to drive into Durango and take the train to Bilbao for the day too. The kitchen had the basic things you might need (small oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, coffee machine, washer, dishwasher, but no kettle?) and the shower was pleasingly powerful. The air con was very welcome in the sticky July...

"We had a lovely time in Otxandio / The Basque experience house. The house is nice and cool when the weather is hot, it is very spacious. Lovely kitchen. Nice beds/ good matrasses. It is well located. Swimming in the nearby lake was very refreshing. "

The house was spotlessly clean with all the facilities we needed to make our stay so comfortable. 35 minute drive to Bilbao and just over an hour to San Sebastián and easy access to vineyards in the Rioja region. Mikel is a wonderful host giving us clear directions and getting us back in quickly when we managed to lock ourselves out.We hope to stay here again."

"Our family stayed in the house for a couple of days and were really made to feel at home by Javier and Estíbaliz who prepared us a home cooked meal for our arrival (delicious croquetas and tortilla) as we were arriving late. The views were fantastic and the kids really enjoyed pool and pool table! Would highly recommend."

"This was a perfect home for our group of 6 (2 young children, 2 parents, and 2 grandparents) tucked away in the hills. It was conveniently located for day trips in the surrounding area. We spent wonderful afternoons lounging in the yard reading and watching the horses graze in the pasture right below us. Great kitchen, comfortable beds, and pleasant rooms for relaxing and visiting. The drive up the narrow road leading to the home seemed surreal. Couldn’t recommend the place more."

Great stay, convenient location

"The location is very convenient, and we appreciate having covered parking available, with lift directly to room floors. We also appreciate the pet-friendliness. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable, with a convenient mini-kitchen. The bathroom was also spacious and clean. The breakfast buffet was delicious with a wide variety of fresh choices. Unfortunately, there is no restaurant for dinner, but the nearby shopping mall had several choices for dining, even on a Sunday night. We would definitely stay here again."
