Guest Access:
Guests have access to the entire cabin. This cabin is hotel-style with 5 other rooms in the building.
There is a new community firepit and cornhole game in front of the Grand Lodge by the playground.

The Neighborhood:

The easiest way to get around is by car. You do not need 4WD to access the property. There is free parking near the cabin. We are only minutes from one of the entrances to Rocky Mountain National Park.

The roads in Amberwood are paved and may be slick when it is icy or snowy. We do our best to keep them clear for you!

Other Things to Note:
We are in the wilderness of Colorado. There are bears, elk, deer, sheep and numerous other wild animals that also call the mountains home. Respect their space and do not keep any trash or food outside unattended. We have an animal proof dumpster on our property for any trash.

Do not feed the wildlife! It is illegal to feed any wildlife in Colorado and you could get a fine. This includes deer, elk, birds, bears and rodents! Thank you!

Great weekend getaway
We booked this for a last minute weekend getaway and it turned out great. The location was perfect, right outside the Fall River Entrance to RMNP. They were very accommodating when I made a mistake on my booking. Communication was great. We would stay here again.

Cute room but sadly, this place ruined my trip.
Room looked like photos👍 Beyond that awful trip. Had only 3 days to hike. Plan to rest on arrival & evening hike. Arrive to construction at the room so loud we left. Staff apologized for not being upfront about it. That night I woke up to my freezer short circuiting and starting to catch fire. By luck I’m a light sleeper! Scariest moment ever. I woke my bf. He unplug it quick and grabbed water. Contact host. They said it was fine 😳they’d check in the am as we hiked. Zero sleep after that. Struggle to hike from lack of sleep. Return back. Nothing done. Contact again. They apologize again, send someone & offer another room. If it was handled, we weren’t switching as it was already 5pm and we were leaving early am. Man came, plugged it in, said it wasn’t doing it so he was going to leave it. No way it was safe! Out of precaution, I said if you leave it don’t plug it in. It’s not going to end well and I need sleep! By now, they should have offered help towards cost. An apology wasnt enough. I asked to be refunded for the first part of the trip as it was a nightmare. 2 of my 3 days ruined. And another day lost emailing bank n forth to get compromise. There needed to be accountability. Guests have expectations to follow. If we don’t, we get kicked out & payment forfeited. Hosts need to be accountable too. After, I saw they still charged full. I contacted them. They send a refund but tax & fees on the full amount. I email again to correct. It consumed and ruined the trip.
