Beautiful Waterfront Home on Watauga River

Brand new to VRBO June 1st 2023. Gorgeous and completely remodeled waterfront home on the beautiful Watauga River. The house was completely remodeled in 2023 with all new windows, life proof flooring, granite countertops, appliances, new black metal roof, new interior and exterior paint, new composite front door, new lights and fans, landscaping, etc. This is a $500K immaculate home right on the river. You might stay somewhere cheaper but you will not stay anywhere nicer in this area. Please look at our cabin VRBO #2196043 if you need something smaller yet just as beautiful, its really made for 2 people but will sleep 4 if needed.

The house includes a brand new 12' x 12' Trex river dock with stainless steel cables for railing, so as not to diminish the river views. There is also a brand new private boat ramp for those coming in to fish or kayak. Excellent place for a large group or a small group and all the comforts of home. The river deck and mountain deck will be furnished with furniture (not pictured yet), and a grill on the mountain deck. You can fish nearly 300 feet of the river along the property bank. In the summer months you will see lots of rafters, kayaks, and drift boats going by. The house is located on the main road to Wilbur Dam, and is 3 miles downstream from the dam, and not in a floodplain. The back yard has a large chainlink fence for your pets containment and safety, with direct access from the french doors off of the mountain deck.

From the front of the house all you see is the beautiful river flowing by, from the sides of the house and back all you see is the beautiful Holston Mountain Range. The house has brand new appliances, furniture, mattresses, etc. Incredible entertainment package with Direct TV and a 75" Ultra 4K Samsung in the den and a 65" Samsung Ultra 4k in the primary bedroom. Bose wave radio. Front load washer and dryer for long stays. The front porch will have rocking chairs. More pictures to come. Book now for your next getaway in a spectacular setting. Mountains and river in all directions, yet only 10 minutes to town.

The house at the River Elizabethton
The house is very pretty and comfortable, Loved the fenced yard for the dogs and location was perfect for us as we could navigate the area easily, The view from to the river is so pretty, got to see a Heron, a deer getting to the bank up to his Belly to eat Algae! We had a nice Family time! Mike was very nice to let us check out an hour late.

My adult children and I celebrated Mother's Day by fly fishing and hanging out together. The property is perfect for both! It’s basically on the river itself and is well-equipped and comfortable. Excellent experience.

The house is beautiful and we really enjoyed our stay. Home is close (20 to 25 min drive) to ETSU and given we were there for a graduation it was really convenient. We were extremely busy so did not get to do a lot in the area but there appeared to be a lot to do.

River Relaxation

The Blue House
Very exceptional VRBO east of Elizabethton. Every detail of this home is modern and inviting. The host is very engaged in making sure our stay was comfortable and worry free. We weren't able to take advantage of the many outdoor amenaties because of the weather. Maybe next time!

Beautiful Home with amazing views of the river and mountains!
Thank you Mike for accommodated my family on such short notice. The house was very comfortable and beautifully decorated for Christmas. The views from the front porch and deck are Amazing. No fishing this visit, but come spring and summer this would be the ideal rental with boat and dock access.

Beautiful house on the river
Property was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Enjoyed fishing on the river, relaxing on the dock and playing frisbee in the backyard. The pictured dock is directly across the street form the house. Traffic was not bad, just be aware if you have children / pets. Appliances and grill are all in great condition, and kitchen is well stocked. Internet worked well, as did the televisions. Very enjoyable stay, we will be back!

Outstanding Experience
The Host Michael from the time of booking was spot on with communication. To an addition pronominal southern hospitality to say the least. The house offers everything that you can imagine and very warm and cozy feeling. The fishing right out front was outstanding caught over 50 brown trout and rainbow trout. Easy access getting to the home and to the river to wade. Beautiful sunsets! Close by shopping, grocery, gas and restaurants. Thank you again Michael, can’t wait to return….

Beautiful part of Tennessee
Property was clean and the owner was very attentive to our needs. He responded to any/all questions and proactively reached out to offer suggestions of things to do, including fishing opportunities. Beautiful surrounding country a real treat for flat landers like us. Enjoyed exploring the many surrounding sights around the property. Of note, the pictured dock is directly across the street form the house which we did not originally pick up from the photos. Traffic is light and did not hamper use. Appliances are all in great condition, and we did much cooking in the well stocked kitchen. Internet worked well, as did the televisions. Overall, very comfortable and enjoyable for 4 adults.

The owner Mike made sure we were taken care for our entire stay and was very attentive. The house was clean and comfortable. Big tv with nice and comfortable couches. All comfortable beds. Sits on a nice part of the river, was pretty chilly during our stay but a good view. Would stay here again.

Amazing stay
We had a wonderful stay. The house was clean, the kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of bath towels and beach towels. The fenced in backyard was perfect for our dog. We enjoyed fishing off the bank and sitting on the private dock watching the floats and drift boats go by. Mike was extremely hospitable and helpful. He went above and beyond to make our stay amazing!
