El Hierro Beaches

Property was lovely but it’s a shame there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. When we asked for a bath mat it took 3 days and in the meantime my daughter slipped and hit her head on the bath. There are limited options for feeding kids dinner, we wanted to feed our 20 month daughter at 6 in the buffet but despite being told we could by one member of staff, the others told us it’s not possible jngless we eat and pay too. Staff were incredibly rude and wouldn’t let us in the restaurant at one point then told us they would get something for us and we could eat it elsewhere. After complaining they were still rude and wouldn’t let my husband in to collect food because he was wearing swim shorts so they told him to stand outside. No customer service at all and I have never been spoken to like that in a 5 star resort whatever the rules may be. We complained but they didn’t do anything apart from apologise. There is a kids club and 2 kids pools yet they claim not to be a kid friendly hotel which is odd.

Great resort. However, rooms are very dark not enough lights. Pool area a bit tired looking in parts. Long queues at reception around peak times.

Great hotel. The service could have been a bit more attentive for a 5* hotel but good overall. The bed could have also been a bit better. We found it slightly too soft.
