Everything and more
This property is DARLING!!! The owners have thought of everything from games, a fully stocked kitchen, to toiletries to even feminine products and hair straighteners. It’s a short walk to town (about 10 min) and very close to the farmers market as well. The yard put back was perfect for my kids to play soccer in as well. Check in was super easy and they were always communicating with us if we had any questions. 10/10 recommend and I will be sure to book with them next time we stay in Edenton!

Anniversary Getaway - this place is a gem!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Erik and Lia put forth special touches to help make our anniversary a memorable one. The Jewel Box is true to its name and definitely a gem. Super cute, charming, comfy and cozy! 100% recommend!!

Wife and I needed a few days to recharge. The Jewel Box provided that. Clean, neat , stocked with necessary items. Lots of communication with owners, nice gift basket provided. A side note: if you arrive Sunday after 2;00 pm, also on Monday , the dining options are limited.

We found the Jewel Box to be just as described and had a lovely stay. Erik and Lia are attentive hosts and checked with us after we arrived and again the next day to make sure all was OK. We had no problems but I’m sure they would have handled anything that came up. The location is perfect for walking to the historic district; in fact, some of the interesting historic sites on the trolley tour are practically back-door neighbors of the Jewel Box.

Amazing attention to detail.
The property was amazing, new and clean, fresh. The attention to detail in every respect was phenomenal. Coffee, available creamers, just everything was done with taste and absolutely first rate. The house was charming and all the finishes very well done. I couldn't recommend it more highly.

Beautifully remodeled cottage near Broad St.
The kitchen is the showpiece of this property. It is newly updated and very attractive. Be mindful of the twin bed with trundle. It's stated in the description, but two photos led me to think there were two twins. The hosts are extremely responsive and considerate.

Our stay at Erik and Lia's place was truly wonderful. The moment we arrived, we were greeted with a thoughtful gift bag and other touches to celebrate our anniversary. Their hospitality and kindness made us feel so grateful and at ease. The furnishings and decorations were simply stunning, and the backyard was incredibly beautiful. It was hard for us to leave, and we felt quite sad saying goodbye. We fell in love with this place and would give it more than 5 stars if we could. We're eagerly looking forward to our next visit.

Everything was like new here
The photos don't lie, this place is pristine. Nice amenities were included. We typically bring things like aluminum foil, zip bags, etc , but the host thought of everything we might need. Very convenient. Easy to get to waterfront restaurant and bars, just 3 blocks away.

The house was beautifully decorated, inside and out, and was furnished with fine linens and everything you could imagine needing. We especially appreciated the special touches (ie. the welcome letter from the hosts, the special bag of snacks, a refrigerator stocked with beverages, chilled wine glasses and a bottle of wine! Even the toilet paper rolls were sealed with a wax stamp. It was a short 5 min walk to downtown, Saturday Farmers market and Sunday Brunch at The Table was amazing. Thank you for a perfect weekend. We can’t wait to come back!!

If you come across the Jewel Box listing - book it now! This was easily the best rental property I’ve experienced. The house was very clean, the hosts are beyond helpful, the bed is comfortable, the backyard is great for coffee in the morning or relaxing in the evenings, and the house is stocked with everything you could possibly need (washer/dryer, pots/pans, ironing board, etc.) The hosts are fantastic. They left us a small welcome bag with snacks, and when I accidentally left something they offered to mail it to me! We had a slight technical issue unlocking the door with the automatic keypad at check in. We messaged the hosts and they showed up within minutes, despite it being late, to resolve the issue. The customer service is fantastic. If we’re back in Edenton, the Jewel Box is where I’d like to stay.

The Jewel Box is a jewel!
We spent a few days in Edenton to explore this quaint town. Although the weather didn’t cooperate, we could return each day to this lovely home and relax. The home is spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches throughout to make your stay more pleasant. It was comfortable for a couple but would be a bit small for another couple to join us. Check-in was simple. The hosts are accessible and helpful. A wonderful experience that we highly recommend.

Comfy & Cozy
Jewel Box is a beautiful house. You can tell the owners have put a lot of time and effort into the design and furnishings. From the kitchen to the bedrooms and bathrooms, it was fully equipped with all the necessities and plenty of extras, too. The location is perfect to explore Edenton - an easy walk to restaurants, historic homes and the waterfront. We would absolutely stay there again!

Convenient and attractive.
The Jewel Box is nicely located on a residential street, close enough to downtown for walking. The house itself is newly renovated and quite attractive inside and out. I was impressed with its cleanliness and comfort. It is a well-appointed property that had everything we needed; I was particularly pleased with the kitchen and its equipment. I appreciated the well-lighted rooms, the comfortable bed and the generous quantity of soft towels in the bathrooms. We stayed for a week and I’d love to do it again.
