"The staff were all lovely, friendly and helpful. Restaurant staff were amazing and very good with the children - the meals were worth the money! Our room was immaculate! The facilities were fab. Only niggle was the phone didn't work in our room and so I had to go to reception to order room service... They still charged me the £5 tray fee, which I thought they could have waivered due to the phone not working. But, they were very helpful and friendly "

"We took our little boy for an over night stay and the illuminations and we all loved it. The resort view was great, the illuminations looked great at night from the room. The onsite amenities like the soft play and super child friendly resteraunt were great. We loved the everything about it and have already booked to come back at Christmas this year. "

"I like staying here to unwind and have a relaxing break away from normal work life and I can always work well from their lovely spacious rooms. Only down side this visit was the noise from neighbouring rooms and it unfortunately lasted most of then night as I could hear them vomiting and falling over in their bathroom (a little too much alcohol perhaps)."

"Booked a room for a couple of nights for myself and my son as a last minute break to visit some family. The room itself was nice and warm. However, when we check-in not a lot of information was provided and the website does not state accurate times for breakfast which made us miss breakfast on the first morning that we had already paid for. Other than that, we've had no issues at all and the staff were very friendly."

"Its a delightful tavern. Plenty of room on the car park and onto a traditional, friendly bar where my hosts booked me in quickly and with a great intro to how everything worked. I had room 2, in a purpose built outbuilding and I was really pleased with the first impression. Everything worked as it should and there were lots of extras not normally given in this type of accommodation. "Very friendly and accommodating staff, nothing was too much trouble. Rooms really clean and well managed. Breakfast was very good and kids under 13 eat free. Bar and lounge areas are also very good. Great location on the Marina with easy walking access to the city centre or old town. Had a really relaxing stay and the place is also pet friendly which is ideal and also well managed. At this price point it’s absolutely spot on. "

Twistmas Stay at the IBIS

"Just booked a 'Twixtmas' break for my wife and I at the IBIS to recover from the 'demands' of Christmas. Three nights in the IBIS was very good with everything you could want from a budget hotel. Bed was comfy, no noise, good room service convenient for shops and pubs. After various cash back deals the 3 nights cost about £100 which was excellent value. Will be returning in the future."

Not the first time and I'm sure won't be the last!

"This is the second time to have stayed at this hotel. Bizarrely enough the last time I wasn't disabled 😁 This time sadly I am. However it didn't spoil the trip. Staff were great, room was clean and presentable. I didn't attempt the shower as the last time I tried a shower in my current style of spasticity I hit the floor. However I'm sure it would suit someone who is used to their disability... Food was lovely, but pricey but still good food. Thanks to the staff for a pleasant stay!"

Great stay, with friendly helpful staff.

"On arrival, the building looks like a run-down, disused office block, with a huge, almost empty, car park and no obvious reception entrance. However, once you find the entrance at the side and go in to reception, everything changes. From reception staff to chef, everyone was helpful, efficient and friendly. Our room on the top floor was quiet, clean and comfortable, with a lovely view across the golf course. Dinner was tasty and nicely served and breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts we have had in a while. Overall, it was an excellent stay and we will definitely return. Don't let first appearances put you off!"
