"this was my first stay at cervantes and was a positive experience. I chose it for the low cost. The rooms were clean and mostly in good condition. However the AC in first room didn't work and they immediately upgraded me to a larger room and I had no problem. Note that the hotel is on the second floor and there is no elevator."

If you are visiting I suggest you try Boquete where you will be pleased. If spending a few nights in David then Alcala is certainly acceptable. The staff was super friendly and very timely with any questions I had. I had a small efficiency and there is a nice grocery store one block away.
