They were renovating the property while we stayed there, and the noise was unbearable during the day. We ate at the Kona Grill nearby on Christmas Day and even though the wait was long, the food and service was incredible… we enjoyed our first time in Michigan!

Whole place us torn up. First guy sent us into the construction area, where we were led back to the lobby by a construction worker. Debris on every floor, every stairway, tracked into our room etc. No food service at all.

Property is under construction. Check in took a look time. I wasn’t provided with WiFi instructions, no coffee or tea in the lobby, elevator was all the way down a hallway surrounded by construction barriers and was filthy. The bed was clean and comfortable. Chair in room was dirty.

The room looked like someone was in it prior to us getting there. We went to the lobby and no one was there. I emailed them and let them know we were leaving. I contacted expedia to get a refund. They told us know one at the hotel was answering the phone but they would get us a refund within. This hotel denied a refund. I did not even stay in the hotel...

The entire hotel is under construction, including the pool and spa which is the only reason i decided to stay here. It was not mentioned anywhere it was closed. Maybe i should've asked but it should be posted! Because I booked it later in the day, I was unable to cancel my reservation. A last minute night away from home and a swim with my family cost $100 dollars to sleep in a run down room. Front desk staff was helpful and tried to help.
