"Loved our stay at Berjaya and will be back. The Rainforest Studio we stayed in gave us exactly what we wanted, surrounded by trees, with a view of the ocean. Monkeys were plentiful and a joy to watch but not bothered. Built into the side of the mountain the resort is spread out, quiet and close to nature. If walking isn't your thing there's a bunch of (quiet electric) shuttles that cruise around and you call it can hop on. Food was amazing at all restaurants, staff were warm and kind, bed/room was comfy. The only thing I'd suggest is that kids club was aimed at young children. No staff organised pool activities or games for a kid of 8. But he made a friend each day on the pool and they created their own fun. We'll be back!"

"This place is a longish walk or a short bike / motorbike ride from Cenang Beach, which can be good or bad depending on your preference. The room design, especially the bathroom, is nice for hotels in this price range, and the inside was clean and not overly noisy. Only thing that mattered to me that was poorer than expected was the shower water pressure, which was pathetically weak. Took twice as long as usual to get clean — no water saved. But overall, still a great deal "

"Beautiful property, spacious rooms. Breakfast was good, through not at the level to be expected for this property. Good location at one end of the beach, though swimming in the sea was not possible due to the jellyfish. We appreciated having a second swimming pool with less children. "

"The hotel is a short walk to Chenang Beach and numerous shops and restaurants. It’s close enough for the convenience, but far enough away from the tourist traffic to offer a quiet, peaceful stay. The breakfast buffet is excellent and the Rice Garden restaurant offers good dining choices for dinner and snacks. The rooms are spacious and well designed and the shower and bathroom area are pleasantly modern. The hotel is very family friendly and we felt well taken care of by the kind and helpful staff. We would definitely stay at the Mercure if we visit Langkawi again."

"We stayed at the Park Royal for 4 weeks and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. From the moment we arrived until the day we departed the staff were fantastic. They really could not have been more friendly and welcoming. We were upgraded in our room which was great. We generally had breakfast at the hotel and the range of different foods to choose from was incredible. We had a couple of meals in the evening during our stay and they were equally as good, particularly the Beach BBQ which was superb. Although all the staff were superb, special mention to Fan at the infinity pool on floor 5 and to our lovely cleaning lady, Liza who did a great job during our stay. The manager met us on departure and even provided a driver to take us to the airport for our flight home. Overall we had a fabulous time at the Park Royal and look forward to returning soon."
