This is another example of the new vs. the old Appalachia through contrasting nature with development. Instead of a shopping and entertainment center, this is of a newly developed home that is (most likely) hundreds of thousands of dollars. It sits on a smaller hill, right off highway TN-91 in Wills, TN, an extremely small junction halfway between Laurel Bloomery and Mountain City. The frame doesn’t contain as much nature as other photos purposely. The goal in that is to show we can combine the new needs of Appalachia with the old beauty, but at a certain point, the new may strip away ‘too much’ of the old. #appalachianechoes

"Very nice cabins well appointed furnishings and bedding. Quaint and rustic. I stayed in the cabins Friday but since no cabin was available Saturday they did have a tree house... Yes a treehouse... Available on Saturday. I really didn't feel like finding a different place so I took the tree house... But I didn't read the description. I just figured it was the same as the cabin but a treehouse. And I'm leaving 5 stars because they shouldn't pay the price for my hurry to book the room before...

"Yes, it was a little out of the ordinary, but that's a good thing! Easiest "camping" experience you'll ever have. Your own private (new, flush) commode, kitchen, and huge shower! A/c and heat in the camper. What more could you want? Definitely an adventure in the hills of eastern Virginia."

"I specialize in the identification and removal of mold and other hazardous materials in hospitals and sensitive areas. There was visible mold, active leaks, and the smell of mildew throughout. The pictures were very misleading. The real problem here is we were visiting the area for an industry event (healthcare construction) and I brought a representative from a local healthcare facility who just so happened to be immunocompromised and battling cancer. Thats not a good look. I won't stay here...

"Needed a vacation in the mountains to get away from the heat and to have a good time before our oldest goes off to college next month. Cabin is in a secluded area with only a couple cabins near it, nice and quiet, but close to fishing, tubing, restraurants and shopping for the girls. "The a frame is great! It was big enough for me and my husband pretty comfortably, the views are great, it is on top of the mountain and so quiet at night! Bed is comfortable, they provided everything we needed. It is off the beaten path for sure and I would highly suggest all wheel drive, do not try this in your honda civic. The owner forgot to send check in instructions, but there was just a major hurricane a few weeks ago and that has to be stressful, so it was no biggie. He answered...

"What a neat little cabin. The host was extremely timely in answering all the questions. This is nestled on a dirt road; it does have cabins close by.
