"This house is located far enough away to not be in the downtown city. The nights and mornings were quiet. Yet close enough to get to the volcano and the beach. (Note everything takes an hour or more to get to) The family enjoyed the stay. The house layout is excellent. The refrigerator, oven, stove are excellent. Important if you like to cook like we do. "Everything about this property and the host was beyond my expectations. Yes the photos that are posted are beautiful but they don’t come close to showing you how truly magnificent her property and the land around it is. We plan to go back later this year again and stay. I could have stood on that balcony all day looking out into that valley below."

"Great hotel. German college interns always available and very helpful. Only drawback, nobody, including cab drivers, could find this place. We stayed 2 nights and BOTH nights we journeyed out only to find that taxi drivers had no idea where this place was and that was AFTER showing them the address card that the hotel had given us. Very Weird."

"Nice new hotel. Comfortable and clean. We were not happy with the arrangement for pick-up at the airport. No listing for HGI although other hotels were named on signage; we had multiple people trying to hustle us to take rides with them. Thankfully HGI shuttle driver eventually showed up and explained to us that he'd be back soon to pick us up (the hustlers kept saying (lying) that it would take 45 mins for him to return). "We stayed here the days of our arrival and departure from SJO. Perfect for our needs. Super clean room and facilities. Recognizing they are far from town, they offer dinner and bar service in the evening. Having a nice cocktail and dinner in our room was a relaxing way to end our day."
