"This beautiful Château with its extensive park is surrounded by vineyards with wonderful views In every direction. It is well situated for visits to Carcassone, Le Somali, Minerve, and other gems in the area. Our modern, air-conditioned room (more like a studio apartment) included a well-stocked kitchenette with table and chairs, and there was a private outdoor terrace with table and chairs and two chaises longues. "The medieval city of Carcossonne is amazing, like stepping back in time, and staying at the Hotel De La Cite just contributes to this feeling (although only build in 1880's). A grand, imposing building directly opposite the Basilicca puts it at the heart of the old city. Excellent service, lovely comfortable rooms and a garden that is great for relaxing in the afternoon sun."

"Our room was large but basic but well priced. Pool was nice and brekky was good. The staff were good. The ad showed a sitting area in the lobby which we were planning on using but were told on arrival it was a private area - this aspect dissappointed us. I think a car is neccessary when staying here"
