"The property is VERY centrally located to the many quaint towns along the Driftless Area Byway. There are wonderful outdoor activities depending on the season you choose to go. We enjoyed the colorful leaves, the babbling trout stream, the sounds and sights of bringing in the fall harvest. We also hiked, wondered little towns, stopped at scenic overlooks. When going to Trout Lodge, consider the season you are going and pack accordingly. Bug spray, wasp/bee spray, suntan lotion, etc. Also, there is a good working kitchen but if you love something at home, sharp knife and favorite stew pot, bring it along Our stay offered exactly what we wanted. Go with an open mind and know that it any perfect…but fun memories can be made."
