Check in was a friendly, if tedious, process of being passed from one person to another. As it was 2.00am by our body clocks, we could have done with it quicker.
The appartment was spacious, well appointed and clean. As much of both the building and the whole area, it was in need of a refresh but it didn't affect our stay.
Because, much of our time was occupied elsewhere we didn't use other facilities much. For us, not used to loud music everywhere, it was difficult to use the outdoors patio area, as there was nowhere quiet to have decent conversation.
During the course of the stay, we had three problems with the appartment, which were all dealt with promptly and efficienntly, including the immediate replacement of a faulty fridge.
There seemed to be a lack of useful information, either about the appartment facilties or about the surrouding are. We are used to having an informationleaflet/booklet in the appartment/ house Staff were always willing to help but seemed to lack local knkowledge. For example, obviously, being self-catering, we needed to know where to buy food supplies. Staff seemed vague about where to find any supermarket and lacked knowledge about public transport or local taxi firms. knowledge about dining out was also very limited. Not into fast food, we wanted something more traditional, if dining out. We found out about one such restaurant, within easy walking distance only as we were leaving.
Overall, the appartment was comfortable & suited its purpose.
