Welcome to your private oceanfront retreat in Maple Bay, British Columbia. This charming 860 sq. ft. studio suite offers breathtaking ocean views and a serene setting just 22 steps from your own patio. With over 100 feet of exclusive oceanfront and a two-level patio extending over the water, you'll be enveloped in tranquility, listening to the soothing sounds of the sea. Look out for seals, otters, herons, eagles, and occasionally orcas in the tranquil bay across from Salt Spring Island. Guests rave about waking up to the gentle waves, unwinding on the oceanfront patio, and picking fresh fruit from the trees just outside the suite.

The south-facing suite features a luxurious queen-sized sleigh bed with ocean views. The fully equipped kitchen, with a dishwasher, fridge, and stove, also boasts ocean views from the bay window. For your comfort, the suite includes a 40" Sony flat-screen TV with cable and PVR, internet, a cast iron propane fireplace, and a heat pump for quiet heating and cooling. Additional amenities include a full bathroom, in-suite washer and dryer, quality bedding and towels, and a private deck with a BBQ. Whether you're enjoying a sunrise from the sleigh bed or a cozy movie night, this suite combines comfort and charm for a memorable stay.

Wee gem on Maple Bay
We wanted to get out of the snow and see spring on the island and this property didn’t disappoint. For Carole and I this property was ultra relaxing especially the terrace near the water. Will definitely look at staying again.

A comfortable situation on calm Maple Bay
This was a perfect spot from which to explore more of Vancouver Island than just Victoria. We are glad we found you! We hiked above Maple Bay to great views of the area. We had a beautiful day to walk the wide beach east of Parksville, then the beach walk at Qualicum. The rental was more than adequate for all we needed. The waterfront was calm and very pleasant. We watched animals, birds, boats, and the occasional sea plane. Thanks for making this spot available!

Perfect location for nature lovers. Directly on the private beach,completely established,perfectly equipped. 2 Kayaks for free,even killer whales passing by. We didn’t want to leave this paradise. Very friendly hosts. We want to come back!!

Incredible spot
We loved this suite. The view is incredible as is the access to the water. Very comfortable and peaceful. Enjoyed roasting hot dogs down by the fire pit at waters edge. Really liked the surrounding area too, a short kayak for lunch to at Rampant pub which was great too.

Amazing!
We had to be out of our house for flood restoration, so we were not exactly in a vacation mood. But this place lifted our spirits. A convenient cozy set-up with all the amenities needed--and that's saying something for what turned into a 3 weeks stay! The view is stunning, and sitting by the ocean can calm the most frazzled of nerves. The hosts are incredible--gracious, accommodating, and super friendly. They are there if you need them, but in no way encroach on your personal space or privacy. We highly recommend staying here if you're in the Cowichan Valley area. Thank you, John and Patricia, for making a stressful period of time so much easier.

Lovely quiet spot, fantastic views of Maple Bay.
John and Katherine were hospitable yet respected our privacy. Well-stocked kitchen and short walk around the corner to the local pub with good food. Good recommendation to the Genoa Bay Cafe for a nice dinner and Stoney Hill for an easy hike. Only wish: that they had installed some sound-proofing between the floors.

Beautiful seaside oasis!!
This is a little piece of Heaven! I spend most of my time sitting by the sea and taking in the salty air, watching sea lions and even whales swim by. I enjoyed kayaking and an evening at the nearly pub. John is an excellent host, very helpful and responsive! I would definitely return and recommend it whole heartedly! This seaside casita is nestled in a wonderful quiet, friendly neighbourhood and perfect place for some solitude and to rejuvenate.

Beautiful peaceful spot for a weekend stay
We loved this little gem and had a truly relaxing weekend sitting and reading by the water. The suite is very clean and well appointed with all the amenities for two. We really appreciated that there was coffee and all the basic condiments already available. The red chairs by the water are exactly like the picture and are the perfect place to just sit or read or enjoy a glass of wine. There are lots of great little restaurants along the water within driving distance and plenty to do in the area if you want to explore. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to this area!
