Majestic Mountain Hot Tub Manor

Awesome raised 6-person patio hot-tub, stunning mountain views, pet friendly (pet fee applies), massive master bedroom suite with vaulted ceilings, views from every window, tons of space for large families or groups, and high-end amenities and toiletries. With a perfect location in Monument, Colorado, guests are away from all the hustle and bustle of The Springs or Denver, but just a short drive to either. Located approximately 15 minutes from the Air Force Academy.

This stunning house is surrounded by Colorado's majestic scenery. Mountains greet you as you step out of the Master Bedroom Suite to the attached patio. Relax and soak in the view in the outstanding 6-person hot tub and massive patio deck. Enjoy plenty of space with 6 bedrooms, 3 showers/bathrooms, a huge kitchen fully stocked with coffee and espresso bar, and all the pots and pans needed to cook a feast.

Guests can self-check-in using the automated door lock. The property has tons of space for additional vehicles, though we do ask guests to avoid parking on the grass/off the driveway.

Monument, Colorado is an awesome town nestled at the base of the front-range mountains, just North of Colorado Springs. This location is ideal for guests looking to spend time at the Air Force Academy, or to visit either Colorado Springs, Castle Rock, Denver, or Monument itself. Neighbors are widely spaced out and the area features a lot of beautiful open areas. A 3-minute drive from the property brings you to an awesome lake with outside recreation areas and absolutely stunning views.

Monument does not have a dedicated bus service near the house. Guests are encouraged to bring a vehicle. There is plenty of parking available at the property for multiple vehicles, though we do ask guests to try and park on the driveway, not the grass.

House and property is beautiful. Very peaceful. House does need a thorough cleaning. Windowsill very, very, dirty. Zip line was a surprise feature. It is however dangerous. The stopper needs to be moved further up. It doesn’t stop in time and you slam into the pole. Very dangerous. Great idea. Move the stopper up further.

Weekend Getaway
We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house. There are lots of bedrooms and our party of 12 people were very comfortable in our beds. Everything about this property is great! Oh the view!
We hosted our entire family (all 11 of us) at this property. Our first reaction upon arriving was (oh no). It's funny, you drive through this neighborhood of very expensive beautiful homes, then onto a gravel road into a farm area where you can literally see goats and chickens. We thought we were leaving civilization. The outside of the home is really nothing spectacular, but the inside was nice and accommodated all 11 of us perfectly. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. But it's the views that get you when you walk out the back door. It's just beautiful. You have the mountains to the west and a lights from town on the east. It's a very relaxing, quiet atmosphere. The home was very clean except for one small issue that I mentioned already to the property manager. The listing does say central air, but it's not really. There is a floor unit in the kitchen that's very noisy. It was unseasonably hot the week we were there so the house got quite warm. The lower level was the biggest issue. We just could not get it cooled off even with the windows open. We also noticed there was not much seating on the deck (where you get the great views and the best place to have coffee in the morning). I guess the wind prevents them from putting furniture out there. So it's understandable. They did provide some folding chairs and that helped. The property management team was awesome. We had a couple of questions come up while we were there, and they responded right away. We also loved the little "tap your own beer" bar in the little town. Quite fun! It's a tad off the beaten path but that is it's charm. We would definitely go back!

Plenty of space, but a few downsides
We had a few issues with our stay. First, there was a yellow-ish film over the water in the hot tub, so we didn't feel comfortable getting in. The hot tub was one of the main reasons we picked this property. Another issue was that the home did not have basic cable. I'm not expecting a ton of TV options when I go on a vacation, but I do expect standard cable TV where I can catch a football game. Parts of the home are updated, while other parts are not. The cleanliness was also just average (there were a few insects crawling around in the basement that creeped the kids out). Overall, nothing horrible. But I also wouldn't visit this property again, unfortunately.

Great getaway!
We had a wonderful time staying here. The property was as listed, the check in process was easy. When our groceries were accidentally delivered early, the cleaning people even put them in the refrigerator for us! The house was clean and we all had fun in the hot tub. This is a great spot to stay to head out to Garden of the gods, Manitou springs, and surrounding sights The house has great views. Thanks so much!

Nice location, beautiful scenery
This property is very comfortable and spacious. It is furnished with very comfortable furniture and beds with high-quality bath towels and bedding. The master bath is spa quality. The views of the mountains are spectacular and we also spotted some deer in the the yard in early evening. The hot tub is clean and well-maintained and provided a relaxing beginning and end of the day (weather was too hot during the day to use). The property manager was very responsive to our questions and requests. This property is located on top of a mesa, about 2 miles from the old part of the town of Monument and about 2.5 miles from the newer part/retail. Monument Lake is also very close by. There are a few things that put this property just under 5 stars: No kitchen towels were available (property manager brought some after we requested them) No cable or Dish TV (use your own streaming service) Holes in screens (property manager said he would fix immediately if we wanted, but we said it wasn't necessary) No A/C in the house except the Master BR (windows open helped at night, but it was very hot during the day) no deck furniture yard not usable (grass/weeds not cut) no dish soap in the kitchen (dishwasher det. was available) All of those things are minor and can be addressed easily. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
