We had 2 rooms and both were well appointed with bathroom, twins beds, tv, towels and bedding and coffee & tea making available. Check in was super easy and the price was good. Lots of parking in a lovely little village."

"Pros: Great location if you’re visiting / doing business in Ampthill. Great food and drinks downstairs. The staff were always friendly, helpful and welcoming. Cons: no on premise parking. Closest parking is a municipal lot…10 pounds for 24 hours. When I checked in my room was made up as 2 singles instead of a double as requested. Beds were a tad small & uncomfortable. Walls are thin, I could hear my neighbors “chatting” until midnight the night before I was planning on checking out. Otherwise...

"I stayed at the Jester while I was in the area for business. Bas and his chef Derek bent over backwards to accommodate during what was a very difficult time for them at the tail end of the second lockdown. With no other staff to support them, and making preparations for the reopening, they still found time to make sure I had access to evening meals and breakfast, despite the fact they had no reason to open the kitchen, just to serve me. "Very clean but a little worn in places .it was expected for basic price staff were all pleasant and help full home cooked food was excellent . We were a little concerned that there may be a bit of noise from pub but was very quiet . Breakfast left in our room was great idea and good choice with milk and yogurt kept in fridge . Over all very good "
