"The apartment is located in an old hotel but the location & condition of the very large apartment was very good. Driving to all the villages in the Engandine was a beautiful experience. The location is excellent & many restaurants are available within 5 miles ."

"On the positive the room was clean, the bed comfortable, nice bathroom and came with a kitchen. It's situated directly across the lake from the train station with great walks starting just along the street. It wasn't so good on the little things that you would normally expect; no hand soap, face wash, shampoo, conditioner, tea, coffee, etc. Personally, given that it came with a kitchen, I would expect a few basics items such as condiments and paper towels. "Overall, the stay was great. It’s a beautiful hotel with well kept facilities. The pool and spa are great. The breakfast is wonderful! We had only one complaint: the shuttle to the train station. Upon check out we were asked if we wanted to use it and said yes. It was scheduled to leave 10 minutes later and no one showed up to drive the van. We waited about 15 minutes after it was scheduled to leave and no one ever came. It was at checkout time so the lobby was very busy and we didn’t have time to stand in line to talk to someone at the service desk. We missed the train we originally planned for, took the bus to the station, and it delayed our return trip to Milan. It was a frustrating experience. Overall, the stay was lovely but that was a sour note to end on. "

"The hotel is a short ride from the train station. The room was very comfortable and quiet. Very nice restaurant just downstairs from the room. Breakfast included a wide selection of pastries, fruits, cereals, juices and other beverages. We were surprised that the "balcony" faced another building across a narrow alley. Bed was firm (which we like) but the pillows, although large, were way to soft. Despite these items, we would definitely stay here again. "

"I had a fabulous stay at the hotel. Every staff member went out of their way to make my stay comfortable and the hotel was spotless, welcoming and very homely. The food and drink quality at breakfast, room service and when having drinks in the library was exceptional. I cannot wait to be back and a big thank you to the whole team for making this such a wonderful stay. "
