"This 16th century manor house has been lovingly and tastefully restored and one has a sense of stepping back in history. Everything is first class, including the friendly and accommodating service. The location is 10 minutes outside of Ponte de Lima, so a car is recommended. We stayed 3 nights and toured from there, happily returning each time to this beautiful hotel. It was a highlight of our 2 week tour of Portugal."

"I stayed in this fabulous chocolate hotel in early October when I was walking on the Camino way. After a 10 mile day of walking, it was wonderful to get there and berated with a wine spritzer with chocolate shavings, delicious chocolate bar, and a beautiful hotel. The breakfast was included and was absolutely fabulous. I highly recommend this place. "

"This is a very nice apartment in central Viana do Castelo, an excellent location. The large apartment I was in was spacious and clean, although I wish it had a work desk and a comfortable chair. My biggest frustration was the poor communication with the property before checking in. I didn't receive any info on how to get the keys, which you have to retrieve from a nearby underground parking garage lockbox. "Everything was unique about Rinoterra. Starting with the Rinocerous figures found around the property and story that named the place. Staff was fantastic, we were treated so well that we felt we were the only guests at Rinoterra. Breakfast was superb. We only had dinner once and remember it well because it was excellent. "

Casa Noble century. XVIII with private pool, balconies and spectacular views!

Heart warming hospitality & enchanting accomodation

"My wife, our two young boys and I, had the most fabulous stay at Casa Sao Joao. We rented the left wing apartment of the house, overlooking the pool. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable, with ice cold a/c for the hot days, of which there were many! The manor house is set in the most sumptuous grounds, with lovely shady vine tunnels surrounding the pool, leading to deeper depths of the garden and many flowers in bloom. The pool was a delight. Perfect to spend the day by or taking an evening dip after a hot day exploring attractions. Joao and Mafalda, the hosts, deserve a special mention as their hospitality was really touching. We were truly welcomed, like a part of their family. So much so we enjoyed the best Shrimp salad, prepared by Mafalda and were serenaded by Joao, playing traditional folk music on his accordion. What a treat! We soon came to appreciate Joao's recommendations of places to visit and eat, were extremely valuable too! We can't wait to return! "
