Spacious Modern Villa with Pool in Great Location On Silver Coast

Spacious modern villa with shared pool and rural views to Foz do Arelho village. The beach is a 15-20 min walk where you will find a promenade and a large sandy beach which borders the ocean and the lagoon; there are beach bars and restaurants along the promenade. The villa is a short walk to the village centre which has a bank, shops, cafes and restaurants. Comfortable and contemporary, the villa has 3 double bedrooms, 2 with ensuite and double balconies, there is a large fully fitted kitchen with all amenities. Outside there is plenty of space with a bbq and dining area, sunloungers are provided for relaxing around the pool. The villa is built and furnished to a high standard throughout and provides comfortable accommodation. There is something here for all ages. Cot and highchair are provided. There is full central heating with a fire in the lounge should you want to rent in the winter months. (There will be a separate charge for heating in winter). The property is also fully licensed in compliance with Portuguese law, registration no:15337/AL

Local Activities: Obidos lagoon beach is a 15-20min walk (3mins by car) which is wide and sandy, further on the beach meets the Atlantic rollers which is great for surfing. There are great selection of beach bars and restaurants offering local caught fresh fish and a sailing school on the lagoon where sailing, windsurfing and kayaking are available. The village centre is a short stroll with all local amenities. For more shopping including several large supermarkets Caldas da Rainha is 8km. Obidos walled village is 12km. Lisbon is around 80km by motorway.

There are numerous golf courses within the area, including CampoReal Golf in Torres Vedras, Praia del Rey, Royal Obidos (deigned by Seve Ballesteros), Golden Eagle in Rio Maior and Bom Sucesso.

Our 2nd visit in a year!!
Our second year in a row! Simply love the area and the relaxed feel of Foz da Arelho. The accommodation is wonderful -spacious, comfortable and well equipped......Perfect for a quiet private family holiday without the throng of tourists. Loved the pool and the option to lounge around on days when we wanted to just to chill! Most of our beach days were spent at Foz or nearby Peniche. In Foz, the restaurants are nearby and cheap. We eat out on most nights for an adult party of 4 for approx.€100 per night. There is not a huge variety of restaurants but what are there are very good We will be returning

Foz do Alehro
Stayed at the villa for just under 3 weeks. Communication with Robert was excellent and he promptly answered our questions when required. The accommodation is excellent! The best that we have stayed in. The villa is large, spacious and really well equipped. Mornings and evenings spent on the balconies were a particular favourite. Supermarkets are nearby should you wish to stock up and eat in. Foz do Alehro is wonderful. Quiet, undeveloped and still not sufficiently on the tourist map to ever be overcrowded. Ideal for beach or lazy days by the pool and visits to Lisbon if you want to explore the capital. The local surf school is also worthy of a recommendation should you or family members want to give it a go. Our 2 sons had 5 lessons and loved it. We have never visited Portugal and found the region to be friendly and so cheap when compared to the rest of Europe. Will definitely return! Simply loved our stay and holiday.

Excellent villa in quiet area.
We had a very enjoyable two week stay. The villa is really bright and spacious and entirely suited our needs. The swimming pool is only a few steps from the front door. There are a couple of restaurants and mini-markets less than five minutes walk away. The walk down to the beach only takes 15-20 mins - depending on how hot it is! Foz do Arelho is very quiet but luckily we were travelling with family members so had plenty of in built entertainment!

Little known gem
This house is well set up in the picture perfect village and everything you could need is present in the house. Communication with Robert and the manager locally was easy and prompt. The outside areas are well maintained even in winter. The village has everything you would normally need small supermarkets, restaurants - our favourite was Tibino , an excellent butcher, bank, pharmacy and health centre. The beaches are an easy 10-15 minute walk away and there are bars and restaurants there as well. Don’t miss the board walk along the cliffs to the north of the village. Unfortunately we had to cut our stay short because of the corona virus but we will be back!

Lovely Villa
Very spacious villa. Extremely clean and well equipped. We had the pool to ourselves for most of our stay. The bed was very comfortable and the en-suite had a great shower. Good quiet location with a few good restaurants in easy walking distance, there is a very good tapas restaurant about 5 minutes walk away. There are more restaurants along the front of the lagoon which is a bit further but walkable. You could get a taxi back if needed, it cost us around 6 euros. I would recommend a trip to Lisbon, we took a taxi to Caldas da Rainha and then a bus into the main bus station at Lisbon. It’s easy to get the Metro into the centre from there. I would also recommend the Buddha gardens near Óbidos, don’t miss the African corner, it’s all stunning. Tip, if you are not going to pre-pay the toll on the A8, make sure you pick up a ticket at the first toll that you will need to pay for at the next toll. Don’t enter the Via Verde tolls if you are paying manually.

Wonderful villa
Excellent villa in a relaxed village which has all the amenities within easy walking distance including two very good restaurants. The area has dramatic scenery with walks to the wild Atlantic, the ever changing lagoon, coastal walkways and forest paths. The villa is well-equipped and comfortable. The sheltered patio is a real sun trap. The pellet burner was a quick and easy way to add heat on a cold evening. Robert was quick to respond to any question or query.

A lovely villa located close to village centre and shops
We returned to Foz after a visit 5 years ago because as a family holiday it offers pretty much everything we need. It's (relatively) undiscovered, meaning you holiday mainly alongside the Portuguese but we noticed more English and French voices on this trip. The beaches (lagoon and Atlantic) are fantastic, there are plenty of lovely restaurants, places to explore nearby and we consider it excellent value for money. The villa was great, very spacious, clean and filled with everything we needed for our 2 weeks. We hired a car but you can do Foz without as the villa is a short walk to shops and 20 mins to beaches. Overall a great place and if the mist is kind some very warm days can be enjoyed!

Very Enjoyable Stay
We had a very enjoyable week in Foz Do Arelho. We found the villa immaculately clean with a high standard of facilities. The town was only a short walk away which meant going to the local shop/supermarket was very easy. We visited Obidos (a must) and made several trips to the fantastic beach. All in all, we had a great week with some fantastic weather. The owner of the villa was readily available in the run-up and made the trip infinitely easier with his quick communication and eagerness to make our trip the best it could be. I would highly recommend staying at the beautiful villa.

A large, quality villa
Our 5th time over 10 years back in Foz and this has been the best villa we have rented. The size and comfort of the house is impressive and we felt so comfortable from the start. From the range of DVD's for that quiet night in with the family to the table tennis table and pool, this is simply an awesome villa for a family to rent. It's near to food shops, restaurants, cafes , and bars, all of which are within easy walking distance. The beach continues to be the biggest and best one that we have found in Europe.

We had a great time in Foz Do Arelho. The villa is beautiful, very nice rooms and bathrooms. Everything is so clean, you can just enjoy and relax from day one. Foz do Arelho is a very friendly village, with some nice restaurants. Try the take way chicken with cips from a small shop. Very good. Beach is in walking distance. Wonderfull villa 100km north of Lissabon
We had a wonderfull stay in the spacious villa of Robert and Linda. We were with 5 (2 adults and 3 kids -> age 8-15). Everything was very clean when we arrived. All you need is available in the villa even windshields for the beach. We had beautiful weather. There are enouch villages to visit and don't forget Lissabon (75 minute drive). We can recomment a visit to Buddha Eden in Bombarral (a big garden with immense buddha statues). Then the Portugese people: very polite and helpful even in Lissabon! Go and eat at the restaurants in the village. We had a complete meal for 5 with desert for 60 euros. 1 cup of coffee for 60 eurocents, unbelievable! Our hosts were great! When you've got a question just email Robert and Linda and you'll get a reply within 2 hours. Conclusion: if you're looking for a nice place to stay in Portugal near Lissabon go and stay at this villa!!!!!!!

Foz do Arelho in style
The villa was in immaculate shape when we arrived. Roberts local representative was there with the key to meet us which was an even nicer introduction to the villa. The villa lacked absolutely nothing. When it came to amenities every little item that could be thought of was present, even right down to the ice cube trays for the freezer. Other than our trip to the local stores for groceries, everything we ever needed was there. An added bonus were the matching mountain bikes in the garage in the basement. The ping pong table in the basement entertained the boys as well as the adults for hours on end. The location was perfect as it was on a quiet street with beautiful views from the bedroom decks. within walking distance to every grocery store and restaurant in town and a very enjoyable walk to the beach. Robert and his attention to details were another added bonus from the time we started inquiring about the villa. If you are looking for a beautiful villa with the convenience of home in a town that is centrally located to everything you could ever possibly want to see in Portugal, then this is the one.
