The situation of the property is ideal, far enough from town to get peace and quite but close enough to go to local bars, restaurants and shops. The entry instructions provided were clear and concise and we had no problems. The property is well laid out for our multi generational family; with Grandparents having a space to themselves, while kids and grandkids had theirs. The kitchen is large and easy to use however, we felt the dinner and side plate were a bit on the worn side and there is a distinct lack of wine glasses on offer. The house appeared clean as long as you don’t look up or move the rug, there were a lot of webs, flies and spiders around the ceiling of the main living area. Cleaning equipment is their but there was no pads for the floor mop and the little dustpan and brush doesn’t cut it for such a large space; that said most people would not be bothered by this, but being clean freaks my daughter and myself struggled a bit. The deck though well appointed was also on the grubby side, my son in law cleaned it off, otherwise your walking it all into the house. The pool is a great size if a little on the cold side, it was cleaned on our last full day at the house which was a little disappointing as we would have preferred it to be done at the start, but we understand you can’t fit into every schedule. I understand the patio blinds have been damaged in the past but they would have been a great addition and allowed us to stay out side on the comfy chairs for longer than we were able. The garden is a decent size and on the whole well maintained. The main bedroom has some wear and tear, and the carpet has a number of stains on it, but I guess some guests don’t take as much care as others and you can’t be replacing things every five minutes. On the whole the property has a lot too offer and is in an ideal location whatever your plans in the Dunsborough area are. We enjoyed our stay with a few tweaks it would have been five stars all round.
