"Beautiful property with easy access to the lake. The three of us were comfortable with the home. The house is in a hilly neighborhood which would not be ideal for older adult walkers, but was fine for us. There was an unusually strong "garlicky" smell in the house that could use some scented or odor neutralizing candles. I don't know if it was from cooking, the floral shop or a natural insect repellant. Just worthy of note. A dehumidifier was in one of the bedrooms. Window air...

"Jim’s home was the perfect resting place & backdrop to my eldest sons wedding! The home provided space for all my immediate family members who traveled from Hawaii, Oregon, Florida, Vermont & New Hampshire. It’s was a quiet and peaceful retreat from all the hustle & bustle of a larger than life wedding weekend. The home has a large and well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and beautiful surroundings! We would def stay here again—thank you Jim for sharing this wonderful space with us!"

"One of the best places I’ve stayed! My father was raised in Barre and we often have to stay in Gardner when we visit. It was amazing to not have to drive 20+ minutes to get to my cousins farm. The house feels like home. The beds were all comfortable. It was nice to be able to spread out and have enough space for everyone to relax. Couldn’t have asked for a better situation or host! I will definitely be booking again."

Only issue was the listing says there’s 3 bedrooms (accurate) and 2 rooms with futons in them, but there was a couch in the den and a small couch in the living room, not really beds. "My wife & I use VRBO rentals on a regular basis. This is on of the few spots where the photos actually represent the property. This place is wonderful...from the beautiful sunrises to the gorgeous sunsets. This cottage is clean, neat and just the right size for two folks. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots & pans. The couches were very comfy & the big screen TV was just right. This is a great spot to relax & enjoy God's creation. The property owner Michael responds quickly to your requests. "

"Several friends and young children enjoyed this property for three nights and everyone loved it. The house felt very warm and welcoming and had charm throughout it. Everyone congregated around the large kitchen island for every meal and the living area was great. Outside offered options for activates, games, walking, swimming, and numerous fire pits. This is a wonderful estate for friends and family to enjoy and have enough space to suit everyone's preferences. "

Also I’d suggest bringing your own wood you can buy theirs but they don’t dry it out and it doesn’t burn completely or correctly so the campfire was very very very small and mostly smoke. It is cute and the cabin was a lot smaller then expected but still had a good time didn’t get to enjoy it all because again it’s like there wasn’t enough time. "

"We never left the property as it had all the comforts of home for a peaceful lake weekend getaway. Days filled with pristine lake swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding and pedal boats, early morning and night fishing… gorgeous sunsets, Nights spent by the firepit . House was spotless and had all the kitchen equipment we needed. All outdoor furniture and equipment ( grill, boats, ) were beautifully kept ! none of us wanted to leave when it was time to check out. "Kaosi was very quick with her communications when I reached out with a question or needed a small issued rectified. The home is clean and comfortable. Only 2 recommendations I would have for this property is to get at least 1 oven safe pan/dish, and put a motion sensor light at the side of the house you walk down for accessing the apartment. "

"This is an amazing home in a friendly neighborhood. The home is new and well appointed with all new appliances. Very roomy and comfortable. The outside deck is great for relaxing with a morning cup or after a busy day. Hannaford is nearby for groceries so you can cook in the beautiful kitchen. And Dan was a wonderful host. Very responsive to all questions and friendly. Highly recommend this rental!"
