We stayed at legacy lookout for our daughter’s wedding. It was such a memorable time! We cooked, kayaked, fished, and enjoyed each others company. The house is so grand and roomy!! There was plenty of space for the 15 of us. It’s absolutely beautiful and comfortable too.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay! The house was beautiful and very clean. The views from the dock in the back are breathtaking, and we loved the wraparound back porch with the rocking chairs. A very relaxing experience and 30 minutes from the beach. We would definitely consider coming back here again! Property management great to work with if you need anything. The view from the large, covered porch was spectacular. Wonderful to sit out on the rockers in the morning with our coffees, family members joining us as they awoke. Young adults had a wonderful time hanging at the dock and swimming in the river. Lots of hang out space inside with a huge kitchen and island for preparing meals and serving buffet style. Multiple refrigerators for multi-families beverages. Had some great ping-pong tournaments in the game room. Layed out in the front yard watching the amazing starry nights. Only complaint - bed layout. So much square footage for one bedroom suite that only had a double bed in it. 12 of the 28 sleeping spots is in a double bunk room with trundles. Just keep in mind who's going into which bed and not just consider that it sleeps 28.

Peaceful Relaxing Environs
Our family gathering of ~17 with varying ages from old to young enjoyed coming together at this fabulous home in a beautiful setting. The home has all the accommodations needed for a large group and the staff immediately responded to any needs or questions. The property itself enveloped us in nature and everyone enjoyed sitting quietly in rocking chairs or paddling in kayaks. Excellent and highly recommended.

What a fantastic property! Perfectly tucked away in your own private waterfront oasis. We spent most nights watching the sunsets from the boathouse (HOW COOL IS THE BOATHOUSE??). The house is a perfect getaway from the daily hustle and bustle. We've already booked our next two stays :)

Amazing Stay!
This was the perfect stay! It was a beautiful house, and the location was perfect! We were able to zip right into town and the beach. Great amenities, and very helpful ideas in their binder for things to do around the area. I especially loved the dock and dock-house. Perfect for catching the sunrise and sunsets, and such a unique fun hangout area. We were even able to see dolphins swimming in the water, which made us feel like we were in the Bahamas. Would definitely come back! Thank you!

Perfect Waterside Getaway
My friends and family went to this spectacular property for a week and loved it. Check-in was smooth, the house was clean, and there was plenty of room for all of us. The kids loved playing in the water and jumping off the dock. There was so much to do both on property and nearby towns that we could have stayed longer. It is better than the beach because there are no crowds. We just checked out for a while and enjoyed ourselves. We will definitely be back. I am thinking about renting this for a company trip

Beautiful Low County Luxury Home
We absolutely loved this South Carolina Low Country home. The views were gorgeous and home is 5 stars. Stand up paddle boards, sea kayaks, and boat house were our favorite. We had 10 adults in our family and were well spread out with plenty of room. Matt the maintenance guy took care of a couple minor issues promptly (arriving by boat). The property view of the river/ Port Royal Sound gave us the best photos. Also loved the main kitchen and wrap around outdoor porch.

Gorgeous
The house is gorgeous. We had 15 people - 7 adults & 8 teens/kids. We did have a couple of issues with the house (an AC unit and a water leak) during our stay (that were outside the owners' control) and they worked very hard to address them and were communicative and available at all hours. The property is absolutely gorgeous and the amenities top notch. Our group LOVED fishing from the pier daily and used the kayaks and paddle boards a lot. The kitchen is gorgeous and well appointed. The owners provided great recommendations for shopping, restaurants, things to do, etc. Overall, excellent experience!

Best home in the Charleston/Hilton Head/Savannah area!!
My family and friends had the most amazing time at this beautiful waterfront estate. From the adventures we had on the kayaks and paddle boards, to fishing off the gigantic dock while seeing all sorts of marine life. Many of our family and friends enjoyed lots of time relaxing on the massive sized porches while soaking in the magazine like views! There was even a game room that was perfect for the children/teens and let's be honest many of the adults enjoyed this amenity as well! We have even recommended this estate to some of our friends who are getting married. This would be an awesome place to getting married or host an event! We are all still talking about how great of a time we had and already planning our next stay with the hosts!

Better than expected!
Better than expected! I wanted my leadership team to have a place to relax and enjoy getting to know each other face-to-face post Covid and this property fit the bill it had plenty of space spread out over 9000+ square feet so no one felt on top of each other. Entertaining was easy in the large kitchen and we even got to enjoy the boathouse. I had a minor issue with my own stupidity and the property manager came right away to assist. Great property would definitely rent again!

The most magical place I have ever visited!
This property is SPECTACULAR! Like something out of a movie! There are endless views of the water. The house is spacious with so many amenities. The long dock takes you out to deep water and an elevated dock house where you can see for miles. There are many bedrooms for extended family or friends. It is also close to Hilton Head Island the the beautiful historic town of Beaufort where you can find shops and local food. It would be the perfect place to hold an event with a picturesque background. I could even imagine a wedding on the manicured lawn with the sun setting in the background. The host was quick to respond to all questions and so kind. My family and I cannot wait to return!

Legacy Lookout Family Trip!
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Legacy Lookout for a long weekend with our extended family. I cannot begin to express how incredible this luxury waterfront estate truly is. From the moment you arrive, you enjoy views of the low country nature and back waters. It feels like your own private oasis, yet it's conveniently close to downtown Beaufort, Bluffton, and Hilton Head Island. One of the highlights of the estate is the massive private deep-water boat dock where you can enjoy views of dolphins, go fishing, or go crabbing! We managed to catch some crab while we were there (they were promptly returned to their homes). The dock house perched above offers even more stunning views and a perfect spot to relax. Lastly, I must mention the exceptional care and maintenance of the property. Legacy Lookout is a true gem in the Lowcountry of South Carolina. I can't wait to return and create even more wonderful and long-lasting memories at this exceptional estate. One important note: Turning right into the property from 170 comes up quickly when you're driving. Make sure you slow down early and no one is behind you so you can make the turn safely. You may want to pull off the road first and then turn. Enjoy your stay!

Incredible House for large group near Hilton Head
I have to say, what a wonderful time we had at the Okatie property. We just got done staying in this amazing home. If you are looking for a home to accommodate a large group then this is it. There were 20 of us and it felt like we had lots of space. I was not familiar with the area at all but have to say that it is in a wonderful location if you would like to see a lot of different things. Here's some things that we did. #1-We ended up going to Hilton Head 3 different times. It's only 24 miles and very quick to get there. It was nice coming back home so you are not near the craziness of the area but got to enjoy the wonderful beach there. #2-We took a day to Savannah. If you like historic quaint towns then this is your place! I love the fact we got to explore for the day. We were ready to get back to the house to hang on the porch afterwards. #3-We spent at least 3 days having our kids (high school and college age) on the paddle boards. I love that they had 4 of them. They loved spending time on the water. It was calm and if you have never done paddle boarding, it is a must! #4-Watched the crabs, dolphins, birds, and lizards from the porch with a book in hand. We even tried our hands at crabbing. We bought nets from Wal-Mart and caught a few to eat. The 10 year old truly loved doing this and kept herself busy with crabbing and fishing! #5-The kids ended up spending a day in Charleston, SC. They just loved hanging out for the day and came back to grill in the evening. Another great day trip there too! #6-We even had dinner a few times in Beaufort. The town is about 10 minutes away and is so adorable! There are many places you can check out here. #7-We went into Bluffton for dinner one night which was another great town. #8-Hanging out on the dock and boat house watching the sunsets were amazing. I have never seen a dock and boat house like this. As you can see, there is so much to do in and around this home! I loved the fact that we had a variety of options. If you wanted the beach you could go to the best beach in Hilton Head. Or if you wanted a historic town you could go to Savannah or Charleston. If you wanted to spend time just on the water by the house, you could go crabbing and paddle boarding. Plus, this house is absolutely breathtaking! My absolute favorite part was just relaxing on the HUGE (and I mean HUGE) porch overlooking the water with a book in hand.

Family Reunion 2024
