"OK, so we quickly realised this place is being used for socially housing homeless/asylum/those in need. Receptionist who greeted us, young lad, very pleasant and polite and helpful. Breakfast which we paid for on the day was varied and just alright. "The room was perfect, staff polite and informative and we settled for a comfortable nights sleep. It was then apparent that the room opposite us had other ideas. From 10pm through to 3.30am there was constant loud talking and door slamming with a total disregrd for anyone else. I attempted to use the phone on several occasions to contact reception to inform whoever of the disrespectful behaviour. "Good, solid place. It really is a monastery with large grounds and impressive buildings. Welcome was very friendly and helpful. The property is dated, but in fairly good order. Bed was good. Breakfast was cereal and toast type. I was hoping for full breakfast but was not offered. Mirfield also a nice town/village, just avoid school closing time as very busy"

"The hotel is set in a rural area, with views of greenery. Public transport and local amenities close by. Beautiful inside and out, had a lovely room and bathroom so clean and comfortable. Just the mattress was not so good as felt the springs. Overall I was pleased with my stay. "

"Got instructions through text on the day of arrival on the process (lock box key code) Really handy check in process especially as we just had a short stay attending a wedding at nearby by venue no need to leave to check in at a certain time. Served our purposes, no problem with parking. Great stay everything that we needed, nice bathroom, comfy beds etc. great. "

"As always the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly (Shirley was lovely: smiley, chatty, courteous and efficient) Food, as ever, was very good and as real ale drinkers, we appreciated the good beer on offer. Breakfast was excellent, but the coffee was very weak and not to our taste For the first time, we stayed overnight. Although the room was fine, it felt a little underwhelming after the surroundings in the restaurant. Mould in the bathroom was unsightly."
