"This place was more spacious than most other places I've stayed at in Tokyo, which was a huge plus. The nearest train station was close and accessible by walking. However, visitors should note that this place is pretty far from the big tourist areas, such as Shibuya, Ginza, Shinjuku, etc. Everything is accessible by train, but it will take you a while (maybe give it like 1 hour). "It really felt like I was living in Japan rather than living as a tourist!! The manager was sitting outside of the property and checked me in instantly. He also had an assistant who helped carried my heavy suitcase up the stairs. You are given a key for your apartment unit and are responsible for not losing it. "This was our 2nd stay at Green House for an extended period. We stayed here again because the first time, Green House and the neighborhood, just felt like home. Green House has everything you need to cook and serve a several course meal, entertain friends, watch the sunset from your private upstairs deck, have some private space (a rarity in Tokyo!), and a nice long soak in the ofuro (bathtub). "We enjoyed our stay at Sumire House. Communication was excellent from the start. Very charming traditional house and nicely located, far enough from the commercial shopping areas but with good access. Family Mart across the alley. Only caveat - street noise. A good pair of ear plugs worked well for me. Super clean house, well-supplied with all the basics. Comfortable beds with warm comforters. Would definitely stay again. "

Excellent hotel in terms of value for money

"The room was not as good on the photos on Hotels.com website. However, the staff was wonderful, from reception, restaurant to housekeeping. Location is very good, with 10 minutes walk to 2 Asakusa stations, for Ginza and Asakusa line. Lawson supermarket right in front of the hotel, quiet neighborhood, reception offers toiletries. Breakfast was very good, and it is from 7-9.30am. Asakusa is a tourist destination itself, with famous temple complex, many souvenir shops, plenty of restaurants, very good exchange office near the main temple. Value for money in this hotel is an absolute 10, at leas when compared to New York for example. The food in Tokyo in the ordinary restaurants is very good, with very good prices. The meal I had in one of them for 1000 yen held me for 6 hours walking through the town. Hospitality in Tokyo is the best I have seen in any modern city, and I have visited over 90 countries of the world. "
