Nice little get-away
We took a long weekend away to celebrate our 25th anniversary. The house was clean and as described. Nice sized kitchen too which was great because we love to cook. The weather didn't really cooperate with us so we stayed in and enjoyed being in such a cozy place. Would absolutely stay here again.

Wonderful Get-away
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was very comfortable. We had the best of both worlds with my husband being able to fish on the lake in the morning and evening and me being able to sit on the beach in the afternoon..a short drive away. Joy was super responsive and helpful. We also found lots of great GF food in the area, including a dedicated gluten-free bakery just a few minutes away. We plan to go back.

perfect
this was the perfect spot to stay at. We were in town for a basketball tournament and did not want to stay at a hotel in Atlantic City. The house was perfect quiet clean the kitchen made it so much easier so we didn’t have to rush to find a restaurant end The distance from Atlantic City was just right the small little village in the shops made it so cute and enjoyable would definitely stay again.

Perfect for a peaceful quiet getaway
if your looking for a peaceful quiet getaway, this is an ideal place. The back deck is very private, and offers a wonderful view of the local wildlife. Everything from birds and chipmunks, to turtles, cranes and swans are there to welcome you every day. There's also a perfect view of the willow tree on it's own private island, which lights up beautifully every night. We will definitely come back again.

Tranquil Setting & Wonderful Host
We had an amazing stay! Host was thoughtful and a pleasure to deal with. Kayaking and paddle boating on the private lake was so much fun. Plenty of wild life to see as well. The pictures do not do this place justice. This is a must stay place when visiting NJ. Peaceful laidback resort near many great restaurants and cute towns just minutes from AC. We will definitely be back.

Great getaway with a wonderful view of the lake.
I would recommend this place and would definitely return. It’s a great place to relax and unwind. Very close to Smithville! I suggest more blankets be offered for pullout couch. Also I think the pullout couch needs to be better attended to with cleaning. .

We enjoyed our stay...place was clean and looked just like the pictures. Be sure to purchase your own toiletries-less toilet paper. Looks like whatever toiletires they have there may have been left from previous guests-which is fine-but we already bought our own. Other than that we were at peace-no issues.

I love the layout of the lake house and it's beautiful view of the lake literally that was our back yard. It was relaxing, peaceful and exactly what i needed to get away from the daily stressors. Early check in was available which was great. There was a book of instructions, food menus, and overall tips of the property which was very helpful. The cookware and dishes needed an update but with that scenic view and that tranquility everything else comes second. Had a great time. Other activities were close by. Would recommend to others looking to just unwind and disconnect from their busy lives.

Alternative to stayijng at pricey AC hotels!
We wanted to go to a concert at Hard Rock but didn't want to pay the prices of the hotels on the boardwalk. I found this gem and will always book here instead of ...there! The house was so private! Very quiet and beautiful scenery. Everyone was super helpful, as we arrived an hour before check in time. There was an agent just passing by and was kind enough to ask if we wanted to hang out in the Club House until check-in. Yes! The only little complaint we have at all, is that there could have been detergent for the dish washer...that's it! Thank you, we'll be back!

Perfect little getaway
Due to COVID i had to cancel our main vacation, my wife and I decided to do little weekend vacations throughout the summer, and this lake house fit the bill perfectly. Close enough to the beach and other activities, was in a quiet neighborhood, and the cottage itself was incredibly nice. Everything there was for us to use, including fresh eggs from their chicken coup which was nice. It was also impeccably clean when we arrived, so they are on top of things with the pandemic. The owner was also pleasant to work with and made us feel at home. The whole experience gave us a home away from home feeling, and we were sad that we couldn't have stayed longer. Thanks so much Joy for making us feel at home!

Lovely, Well Kept Property
We were surprised at how close the buildings are to each other and were concerned that would affect the privacy and quietness of our stay. The neighborhood ended up being incredibly quiet and even with the nearness of the other buildings we still enjoyed a quiet time. The building has some weird design choices - why is the towel rack on the far side of the bathroom, away from the shower? - but it's clean, well kept, and tastefully decorated. We didn't use the lake, but we walked around the bridge/pavilion and up the trails a bit - very glad we brought insect repellant as we had some ticks on our shoes afterwards.
