"We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel! Our view of the river and the mountains was just stunning! The service was exceptional. Everyone was so kind. They added breakfast was a really nice touch. We had never had a traditional Japanese breakfast before so we were unsure what to expect. The fish was delicious! "Great ryokan, but when I tried out one of the private onsens there were many tiles missing from the wall and there was an unpleasant smell. The public onsen (men’s) was lovely and everything was in good condition, so the quality of the private onsen seemed limited to that one spot. There are 4 other private onsens I did not try out. Staff was helpful and professional. Lots of charm to this place."
