Perfect Weekend Getaway

My husband and I were looking for a simple long-weekend getaway and this nailed it. Quaint and quiet, we were able to relax and unwind. December may not be peak Hocking season, but we loved the cooler weather - the cabin was cozy, the hot tub was hot and the fire pit was perfect. Highly recommend for a simple getaway!

I will say make sure you screenshot the door code and WiFi info before getting there lol there is ZERO service I had to leave until I had service to get the info off my phone lol. very secluded. awesome. Reset weekend

Everything was great’ very comfy! Wish we could have stayed the whole time but my friend got ill and was having heart troubles so I took her home early. The hot tub never was to temp but all in all. Fantastic!

Great getaway

The cabin and hot tub were both clean upon arrival. The hot tub happened to be in "Sleep Mode", which I was unaware of, but the property manager was very quick to answer despite it being late when we messaged and gave us very thorough instructions on how to correct this. Beautiful scenery from the cabin also. My husband and I would book this cabin again.

Weekend getaway

Enjoyed fishing in lake, playing pool and relaxing in hot tub. Went horseback riding at spotted horse ranch and hit the main hiking trails. Nice way to celebrate 3rd anniversary

Me and the old lady were in desperate need of a getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life with some peace and quiet. Just what the doctor ordered.

Nice getaway

I had a great time! Most of the cabin was clean, but there was some areas that were dusty. The small table in the living area had some sticky residue on it. The enclosed patio's floor was soaked from the rain, im not sure if theres a leak. The hot tub was amazing! Didnt get to explore the lake or use the fire pit due to the excess amount of rain! Enjoyed playing pool, but 2 of the cue tips were broken on the pool sticks. The larger one was fine, but couldn't use it much because of the length. The bed was super comfortable and we had a nice little view of the lake and nature.

My fiancé and I loved it

My fiancé and I stayed at the cabin for a couple of days, there is a lot of privacy and easy to get to. Very home like, and comfortable we did not even use the upstairs, the fire pit is close to the cabin and you can see it from the hot tub, the hot tub has a roof over it so if it rains you can still use it. We were very happy with our stay, they leave books on all of the things you can do around hocking hills and a lot of the restaurants made it very easy for us to pick what all we wanted to do. Everything was clean, and was very peaceful at night even.

Love Shack

We found the cabin to be perfect for being stuck indoors on a very rainy weekend getaway. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking in one night, the interior of the cabin was super clean. The AC units they have installed are very nice and kept it comfortable for my partner. The pool table was a nice touch, but a bit difficult to play in such small room. The patio with the hot tub needs a lot of love. The roof has significant damage and doesn't cover completely from rain, the grill is not as pictured in the photo and much smaller. The hot tub itself was very clean and the perfect touch. One observation, it was raining pretty significantly when we arrived, the roads leading to the cabin are gravel and dirt, it was a pretty dicey drive and not well marked/recommended how to park, my partner's truck had a lot of difficulty, so just be mindful of that when you arrive. Overall great little space!

Cell service/mouse droppings

Overall, this cabin met all of our stay desires and was super comfortable! We slept better in this cabin than any cabin we’ve had in the past! The only complaints I have is that we lost cell service about 5 minutes outside of the property, so when we pulled up, I could not get access to the VBRO app to get the check in info and door code lol. So we had to drive back out until we reached some service and then took a screenshot of info for future use. The other complaint is that there were a decent amount of mouse droppings in the kitchen and dining areas. Did not see any mice but the droppings were new this morning.

Cozy & Clean Cabin

This "shack" was clean and nice for couple to have privacy and some relaxing days away. Kitchen was well stocked for dishes and appliances for the two of us. (:( but only 1 wine glass). There was the "small resident" running around so be advised to keep food off the counter overnight. The furniture and decor appeared to be good shape and recent purchases. - Nice quality bed sheets and bath towels. The floors were a little suspect with edges and ridges at the doorways. It has a unique pleasant feature with the pool table even with limited space and using the shorter cue sticks. However, there was a bad floor squeak on the tall wall side of pool table. Not the best weather at start of our trip and the sunroom was a bit musty with mold in carpet- so we could not sit out there but enough space in remaining house to enjoy. The hot tub was very clean and clear water. The corrugated porch roof might need to be replaced. The online picture had the brick firepit and a gas grill that have changed. None of these "minuses ' ruined the pleasant setting and bright interior. Thank-you.

It was very cute and perfect for my husband and I. We went himing. In hocking hills then came back and chilled. It was a great place to stay. The only suggestion i would give to them getting a bigger couch or reclining couch as forn2 people it was definitely tight.
