"We had a wonderful stay at Chambre d'Hotes L'Ancienne Ecole. It is a beautiful period property in the lovely town of La Wantzenau. Katia is an amazing host, with passionate knowledge of the Alsace area. Nothing was too much trouble, with a tasty French breakfast each morning. We will definitely stay here again when we are back in the area."

"The Josephine room was amazing. We booked it for a week over Christmas with the goal of having a place where we could hunker down and cook a nice meal on the 24th and 25th. The place was perfect. "We loved our stay here! It’s the upstairs rooms of the owners, one of whom is the baker in the bakery downstairs. The wide variety of fresh bakery goods served for breakfast is delicious! Christophe was very helpful and welcoming and recommended places we should see in Colmar and the wine road. "

"Lovely property and Sylvie is a wonderful host. Our suite was beautifully decorated (and the AC was cool!). Sylvie provides a delicious breakfast with homemade jams and local yougurt, as well as a small selection of breads, fruit, meatt, and cheese. "Good sized room with comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Just a few minutes walk to the old city center, which was perfect to view the Christmas decorations and Christmas markets. We didn’t swim, but the pool would be a great plus in summer. Staff was efficient, although not overly friendly. Decor in room was nothing special, but overall, the hotel was good value for the money."

"Charming boutique hotel with a bicycle theme. Rooms are small but well appointed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. This hotel is ideal if you arrive in Strasbourg by train yet still only a ten minute walk into the old town. Busses and streetcars are also close nearby for further travel. The 20 Euro breakfast is not a bad value with good variety not limited to croissants and coffee. I would stay again."

Excellent comfortable hotel with great breakfast

"Excellent hotel, quiet despite being right opposite the Railway Station, I was upgraded to what I believe is one of the newly refurbished rooms on arrival, lovely comfortable bed, everything was clean and worked. Small area at reception where one could purchase snacks and various alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks Excellent Breakfast with a good selection of food and drinks available in the morning, would certainly stay here again if visiting Strasbourg or just staying overnight"
