The space
Ahoy, mateys! Prepare to drop anchor at Captain's Cove, where adventure awaits on the tranquil shores of Grand Lake in Oklahoma. Our humble cabin, the Captain's Quarters, serves as your cozy haven amidst nature's bounty. The cabin offers 2 large sleeping quarters that will accommodate 3 each with a king size bed and twin bed and a smaller room with a solo queen bed.
But beware, as you traverse our 2-mile dirt road private drive, you may encounter some of nature's critters, bugs, and even slithery serpents. Fear not, for these creatures are simply part of the vibrant ecosystem that surrounds our secluded sanctuary.
Nestled amidst a scant few neighboring houses, our property offers a true escape into the wilderness. And what's a pirate's haven without its trusty scallywags? That's right, our three charming campers, affectionately known as the Scallywags' Quarters, stand ready to welcome adventurous souls seeking an authentic outdoor experience. So hoist the sails of your imagination and prepare for a swashbuckling journey like no other at Captain's Cove!

Ahoy, adventurers! At Captain's Cove, the world is yer oyster, ripe for exploration! Feel free to roam and ramble through any open space 'round the homestead, except where it's clear as day that ye be trespassing on our neighbors' turf. Arrr, be ye ready for a grand quest? Venture southwest, and ye'll find yerself on the edge of a 15-acre GRDA preserve, teeming with critters like coyotes, deer, armadillos, groundhogs, and rabbits. But heed this warning, mates: when the sun sets and the shadows grow long, tis best to keep yer feet on solid ground. Nighttime jaunts be not for the faint of heart!
Now, if ye fancy a bit of camaraderie and a crackling blaze, head on over to our small bonfire circle near the front of the property. But mind ye, the grand fire pit at the rear be off-limits for burning – lest ye be drawin' unwanted attention from the powers that be.
And for ye seafarers yearnin' for the open waters, fear not! Directly across the road lies our trusty boat slip, awaitin' bass boats on the inside tie-up and smaller pontoons on the outer berth. Aye, there be a ramp, but we'd be wise to set sail from Southwind's at the mouth of our private drive for a smoother launch.
So, me hearties, whether ye be explorin' the wild unknown or settin' sail on the shimmerin' waters, Captain's Cove welcomes ye with open arms and tales aplenty!

As ye navigate our rugged terrain and encounter nature's critters, bugs, and even the occasional slithery serpent, ye may also cross paths with other adventurous souls seeking refuge in our rustic retreat. Fear not, for camaraderie and shared tales of the high seas await ye under the starlit sky.

About Grand Lake
Grand Lake O’ The Cherokees is one of the most beautiful lakes in Oklahoma and commonly known as Grand Lake. There are 46,500 surface acres of water sports fun with 1,300 miles of shoreline. Grand Lake is nestled in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains in far northeastern Oklahoma.
Million dollar homes line the shores on Grand Lake’s southern end with tons of huge boats like bay liners and yachts on the water, while the northern end of the lake is where nature comes alive and pontoon boats like to hang.
Grand Lake is great for boating, fishing, golfing, hiking, hunting, jet skiing, parasailing, sailing, swimming, tubing, water skiing, and other water sports. It is known for incredible scenery and a wealth of activities on and off the water. Grand Lake hosts all kinds of fishing tournaments and events like the annual Redneck Raft Out.
Grand Lake is huge, with hundreds of coves. Its main channel is known to be choppy but its coves provide calm waters for outstanding watersports and swimming fun. Visitors can find quiet serene coves, plus much more lively and boisterous coves
Southwinds Marina is the closest place to drop your boat in.
You can also drop in at Grand Lake State Park.

Get dressed and enjoy an adult only night out. Be sure to check the hours and confirm which location you are going to. We like to call ahead and make sure there's no wait. Worth the money and atmosphere if you need some adult time.
Did you say Mexican Food?
Try Juan Montez. You can get there by boat or just drive. Small spot with great food! Service can a little slow, you know everyone is on lake time, but worth the wait! Staff is super friendly and drinks are good.
