At this intimate, adults-only site 15 minutes’ drive south of Aberystwyth, in the Llanfarian area, you shall stay in elegant shepherd’s huts with cosy touches such as underfloor heating and a woodburning stove (with an initial complimentary supply of wood and kindling; more can be purchased on site).

A welcome pack includes all you need for a refreshing brew (tea and coffee, plus a few extra treats); you can also buy a breakfast hamper to prepare your own full English in the well-equipped kitchen. This site and the shepherds hut was amazing. Really well laid out and presented. The area around the hut was large and private. We had a wonderful time and will look to go back again. The fire pit was the best I have ever seen. Very highly recommended.

An incredible stay at Silver Fern. A quiet, quirky getaway in the Ceredigion countryside. The converted Shepherds Hut and garden was the perfect size for two adults and the dog! The honesty shop was amazing, with superb choices of meat for the outdoor firepit/bbq and the breakfast and cheese hampers we booked were sinply stunning! Close enough to Aberystwyth to be an easy drive, but far enough out to make you feel like you're properly 'out in the sticks.' A short walk over the fields to the coast path and thr Irish Sea, Silver Fern was the ideal getaway!
